Dr. Samer Alamir, MD

Dr. Alamir is smart, good and nice. His office runs well because his staff is wonderful, helpful, kind, and the two ladies run the place. He runs late a lot and that is annoying. Overall it is good.

I highly recommend Dr. Samer Alamir for treatment of mental illness. He is patient, kind, knowledgeable and motivated in finding helpful medications/treatments to effectively address mental health concerns.

He is primarily a "medication management" doctor. That means that therapy is usually with someone else. That being said, and taking into consideration Ohio's new "war on drugs," the doctor is inadvertantly making patients do cartwheels for needed medications. I feel like an addict now...

Told me I could take 2 mg of ativan every single day. I did for almost a year and developed a tolerance and addiction to it. Took me over a month to get off of it and gave me bad withdrawal. Too abrupt in talking and not helpful.

Great psychiatrist, honest, forthcoming and great bedside manner.
