Dr. Samuel Smith Caldwell, MD

Dr. Caldwell took care of my entire family. He was always very knowledgable, caring and accurate with his diagnosis. My daughter had 3 surgeries that were very serious and my son had one. Dr. Caldwell took great care of them and truly cared about their well being. We were given immediate appointments when my son and daughter were injured and never had to wait. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful at all times. I highly recommend Dr. Caldwell.

I've seen this doctor twice. The only reason I was sent to him was because the doctor I was seeing at Albany Orthopaedic left. The first time I saw Caldwell he said I had fibromyalgia. I got a second opinion from another practice and the doctor there said I had a pinched nerve in my cervical spine that he could see through x-ray and MRI. I went back to Caldwell because I could not get in soon enough at the other practice and was in severe pain, enough that I could not move my arm to drive. This time he said there was no reason that I was having my pain, no proof. I asked him if he thought I was making it all up and he just played semantic nonsense with me and said he didn't know. He asked me if I thought I should have surgery and then at the end of the appointment asked me why I even there if I couldn't afford physical therapy. Are you kidding me?! What kind of doctor asks their patient if THEY think they need surgery? Isn't that why I am paying you? For your "professional"… opinion? I will NEVER go back to this doctor or to this practice and I will be sure to tell anyone I know needing orthopaedic services to NOT go to this practice.
