Dr. Girgis is 100% professional. Class act all the way. I went initially to see him about my tinnitus. He recommended CPAP at first, which went really well. Recently he did balloon sinuplasty and septum straightening surgery. 100% satisfied, highly recommend!

I had been a patient for over 30 years. These last couple of years was used to waiting at least an hour at every visit unless seeing an assistant. I had deviated septum surgery over one year ago. The surgery lasted twice as long as it should have. I woke up at 6pm on a Friday still throwing up blood but was sent out in wheelchair as all wanted to get home. I have constant sinus and post nasal drip issues that I never had before and no follow up visits offered any answers. I truly wish I had never had the surgery as my quality of life and how I feel every day is pretty miserable. I am still looking for answers but with another ENT doctor.

Terrible doctors office... Made appointment to see doctor experiencing ringing of ear and at visit had a audio hearing exam completed by physician Melissa Tested positive for loss for hearing in right ear. Made second appointment for Doctor and again Melissa physician assistant comes in clams Doctor not available was Not told both visit we going to be by her and billed as if seen by Doctor. She stated if I close my nose and mouth maybe my ear will open up.....What kind of advise is that! Went to Loyola and was given shots in the right ear which help a lot.

I came into Girgis's clinic a few years back with chronic tonsillitis. I'd had tonsil infections about 5 times in the past three months and was hoping to get some professional insight on how to prevent future infections and to ask about a possible tonsillectomy. (I do voice acting work on the side so this was effecting my livelihood a bit.) My dad and I arrived at Girgis's Hinsdale location about 10 minutes late to our scheduled time because there was a raging blizzard that day. We checked in and sat in the waiting room for about 2.5 hours (which is beyond unacceptable if you've got an appointment, even if you were a few minutes late, but we didn't complain). I got called in and tossed between nurses who all seemed bored and rushed. Everyone has bad days though, so I was willing to ignore that. When I finally saw the doctor the appointment was only about 15 minutes long and he told me that if I wanted a tonsillectomy I'd need at least 6 documented case of an inflamed throat in… one year along with symptoms sleep apnea (which I do not have). I had easily surpassed that many infections per year, but I hadn't gone to the doctor to deal with them because they were so frequent, which meant to fulfill that requirement I'd need to get sick *six more times*. When he asked about what I was doing for a job I told him I was in junior year of college and I was going to take my last summer vacation off because I'd never get another one, which he smugly chided me for. I then bounced between a few more offices for another hour and got a very expensive and useless scan. I left the office a few hours and several hundred dollars poorer with no new insight I hadn't figured out from 10 minute searches on the internet. A few months later I got a second opinion from another doctor who heard how often my tonsils got infected and immediately said "wow, we should get those removed right away. Let's do it next week." I went through with the surgery, recovered in about 6-8 days and went from having 15+ sore throats and infections a year to maybe 2. I only wish I'd ignored Girgis's advice sooner because following it just got me three more infections and a few more months of pain. Thanks for nothing!

Dr. Girgis is a phenemonal doctor!!!! HIs bedside manner and his knowledge are both excellent! Would not go to any other ENT.

I was having problems with being increasingly more tired and not getting enough quality sleep in the last two years or so. Sleep study did not produce any definite diagnosis. Then I was recommended to visit Dr.Girgis. He took simple diagnosis steps. After my first visit I started noticing that I was breathing very unevenly, with obstructed flow on one side. On my second visit, Dr.Girgis pinpointed a suspicion and confirmed it with a quick CT scan showing an almost golf ball size cyst in my sinuses, as well as deviated septum. The cyst must had been growing slowly so I never detected a sudden change in my breathing. He recommended surgery to remove it and promised I will breathing much better afterwards. He advised that I will need to take a week off, and will take a few weeks to fully recover. I doubted that I will need a week off from my work, and we scheduled the procedure a few weeks afterwards. After surgery that went well and as planned (I was sleeping 3 hours or so),… the healing process started. My nose kept bleeding but on the third day after surgery I experienced a short deep sleep that was the "Ah-ha! This is like it should be when you get a good night of sleep!" moment. I went back to work, and have aggravated my nose, and had difficult time coping with my constant nose bleeding that progressively slowly stopped by the 6th day. I was surprised when on the 6th day after surgery dr.Girgis pulled two 5 inch long plastic stems from my nostrils and a long draining tube... Hahaha. Two months after surgery my inner nose and its lining are almost normal, just a touch sensitive (well, the septum was cut and repositioned). At the end, it was all worth it. Girgis and all his staff were always very professional, and friendly. My breathing and quality of sleep has dramatically improved. And I got my life back, Big Thank You Dr.Girgis.

I had surgery in the hinsdale offfice,by dr girgis,and i have to say every since the surgery i breathe,sleep,and feel much better since my surgery.the staff is always helpful.i recommend Dr. girgiss and Debra cheval to anyone who has allergies,and sinus issues.made my life much much better!

I would recommend Dr. Girgis and his staff to anyone! Have doctored with him for over a year and feel SO much better! Easy to schedule appointments in advance or when needed on short notice. Super caring, thorough, and accurate. Sinus surgery with him was a breeze - had everything I needed beforehand, great follow up after. And now, I feel SO much better! Airways open, sleep better, no more sinus infections or headaches!

I am not from Illinois but came to visit relatives. I became very ill both times I came out to visit.The physicians and staff were wonderful and was able to get an appointment right away. The doctors were thorough and diagnosed my problems and helped me recover before I had to leave back home. I really appreciate their professionalism and kindness.
