Dr. Samy Ahmed Younis

“Suck it up,” is what Dr. Younis told me after I met him for the first time in person after years of visiting his practice only to be seen by his nurse practitioner (who was great). Unfortunately, after her exit, Dr. Younis was left with no choice but to meet with his own patients. And we had a chat for the first time about the pain I have been dealing with for years. There was such a disdain in his voice as he spoke and his hand running down the small of my back was not in a caring way. I felt dismissed and violated at the same time. I realize I was lucky to be seen by the nurse practitioner all those years. She cared to listen and offered warmth and solutions while exercising professionalism. Dr. Samy Younis is anything but.

Front office is cheerful and efficient. Other personnel also efficient and friendly. Dr. took his time, asked questions, listened to my questions or concerns and provided solutions. He is a little gruff in a funny way, a straight-shooter--like a grandfather. I liked the office and my experience.

Great Doctor and friendly staff. Same day appointment for upper respiratory infection. I was feeling very sick all weekend. I saw Dr. Younis on Monday and was even given a breathing treatment. A few days later I was myself again. Thanks to a great, caring office.

Dr. Younis is the best Dr. I have ever had. After years of misdiagnosis he listened to my concerns and did the proper tests to diagnose my Lupus/Fibromyalgia and put me in touch with the specialists I needed to treat my illness, for which I will always be grateful! Did I mention that he also has an AWESOME staff! :D

A ver good front desk run by Jenny, Good nursing staff, excellent colleague NP. Samy Younis is always on top of the literature, is warm and no-nonense, listens well, and usually knows your history well. (I have been a patient for more than a decade, so there is a fair amount to remember.) I get fit in if there is something that comes up that did not allow for a distant appointment. y daughter, whio is a nure, remarked on how warm he was. On a recent visit after n unexpected illness, he gave me a hug, which my daughter was struck by. This doctor is a rare keeper.

I wanted to find a long term family Doctor, 2years ago was when I started my annual check-up with them. Kristine the N.P was who I was seeing. The 1st Bad experience with them was about wrong billing, not only they charged my insurance but I receive a seperate bill for my annual!? The second year when I need a refill for my medication that usually get requested through the pharmacy 3X a year, they won't prescribe it unless I see them for another office visit after my annual check up 4 months prior. This place is charging for everything! Today got a call from thier office stating that they are chargin me $18.56 for the medical record requested by my new Physician . I can't believe it! They lost our business, and I believe many more. Good luck!

I have been a patient of Dr. Younis's for approximately 12 yrs! I only see him not PAs, I'm also a nurse. I respect and trust him thoroughly. He is thorough, competent, and listens. Staff is great! Never had any billing issues, and I have needed notes for various reasons and it was always provided with ease! The office door is open and music on to provide a more inviting atmosphere instead of a sterile cold uninviting environment. He actually asked patients opinion of this years ago, and the majority liked the door open and music playing:)

Warning to anyone considering this doctor! Doctor Younis is a friendly person. His staff is friendly, and the office is nice. However, I can't tell you enough how cautious you need to be here! I have experienced problems many problems, first with billing as apparently they don't know how to bill insurance. I spent I don't know how many hours on the phone trying to sort their mess out so I wouldn't have to foot the entire bill myself as they wanted. It was ridiculous.The most frustrating incident I had was trying to get a sick note for work. I was out for a few days with strep throat and had Dr Younis and his assistant Kiersten treat me. I'm a contractor and need medical documentation to verify my illness. However, they would not write me a note, only give me a referral to another doctor. This seemed bizarre and uncalled for, I tried pleading but couldn't get anything from them. Nobody else would write me a note either because I saw Dr Younis and not them for the treatment! I eventually… had to lose 3 vacation days because of them--DON'T TRUST THEM!

Great diagnostian and helps get you on your wat to getting healthy as soo as he can. Friendly staff that have been with him a long time. I have moved away for 9 years and chose to met the hour and half drive back to Irvine to keep up my good care with him He;s the best!

I am not sure what that previous patient is referring to but I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Younis office and staff. I have been a patient for a few months and have had interactions with all members of his staff including Dr. Younis. Jenny, the receptionist, is pleasant and inviting when I come in for my visits. I have spoken to Yolanda once regarding and mix up with my insurance and she called my insurance on my behalf and handled the situation without my asking her to do so. I have been treated by Dr. Younis and both his PA and nurse practitioner and have had the best care. I have seen many different doctors and can honestly say that Dr. Younis office is the best.
