Dr. Sandeep D Amin, MD

Went to see Dr. Amin through the pain clinic. He doesn't see patients, the fellows do. I had 5 appointments with him and spend about a total 8 minutes with HIM. He does nothing except the procedures. It's a circus in the pain clinic. I had excruciating tailbone issues and after sitting for 15 minutes my pain was a 10 PLUS. I had 2 cadual epidural injections done and would never go back again. These clowns left me on a gurney for 90 minutes each visit. I was crying in pain hanging off the gurney and the nurses were trying to comfort me but they couldn't do anything. I NEEDED MY INJECTION AND TO GET OUT OF THERE! They turned a 20 minute procedure (they told me 20 mins) into a 4-5 hour appointment. I was in so much pain the first time they didn't wait to get me to the room, they sedated me on the way to the procedure room. The second time this doctor says we'll have you out of here fast today. 4 hrs 15 mins. Second visit was worse. I was crying in pain AGAIN on the way to the procedure… room from sitting on the gurney 103 mins. Some female, not sure what her role was but she marked my back for the injection, says "what's wrong, Kim, you were fine when I checked on you a little bit ago. She checked on my and signed the injection 90 mins prior. Never once did this doctor talk to me except to ask me my DOB and name. He signed a paper and disappeared. The next time I saw him was on the way to the procedure room and he was on his phone laughing and having fun while I was crying in pain. 2 injections only to find that they should not have done the cadual injection that's for the herniated disc because it did not help my tailbone pain that was making me cry. My follow ups were with fellows NOT Dr. Amin. Every appointment they were 40+ minutes late. I was late for work every appointment. They didn't review my MRI or EMG results, they just came back int he room after 4 minutes and told me EXACTLY what Northwestern had noted in my clinical notes nothing different. No regard for patients time. After the two injections not this PAIN MEDICINE DCOTOR want to send me to a spine surgeon. HE DID NOTHING TO HELP ME but charge my insurance. Avoid this guy at Rush Pain Clinic unless you want to waste time. I finally got into Northwestern and they said Ganglion Impar injection should have been done to help my tailbone pain. They first injection was done by NW and 90% of my pain was gone. That pain needed to be treated first to see what pain I had from the herniated disc. Go see this guy if you want to waste time and money. Unprofessional and arrogant. No pain was taken away while I was visiting Pain Clinic. I was there at 8:30a for a 9:30a procedure and walked out at 1:15p. IT'S A 20 MINUTES PROCEDURE! Add another 30 to recover from anesthesia. I should have been out of there in an hour. Northwestern 20 minute procedure took one hour from the time I walked in and they educated me on the injection, changed into my gown, signed the papers, had the injection, spoke to the doctor about follow up care and made my follow up appointment. ONE HOUR FOR THE 20 MINUTE PROCEDURE and they didn't knock me out for the procedure!

Dr Amin is very caring and understand my pain. He is able to help keep it under control. It is always easy to get into office for visits. His staff is wonderful. Susan is the best RN I ever experience.

Dr Amin is the best pain doctor you will ever find! He never gives up on finding solutions for your pain. He has always been there for me and I would NEVER switch to anyone else!

Dr.Amin is such a caring doctor and treats you like a person not a patient. Also ALL the staff in his westchester office are amazing!!

I was referred to this office through Midwest Rush Othopedics by my Orthopedic back Surgeon. To start, I was waiting 45 minutes till Inwas seen. I started Dr. Amin's PA, while in the middle of discussion another PA came and pulled out the PA I'm currently talking with to be part of another patients procedure. Kinda like, a mini circus going on, not my health being put first! When Dr. Amin finally came in after talking with the second PA for 15 minutes. He said, we cannot do anything as he stated "I do not have a set surgery date, or they specialize in long term care like implanting pumps, etc". And referred me back to my primary care and my Ortho back surgeon. Absolute, waste of time, energy, effort, money, and in my opinion its unethical.
