Recently relocated to Naples and my experience as a new patient was absurdly bad. This practice is not patient centered and seems to be a colonoscopy factory. Lots of problems making appointments, and then you can’t reschedule a colonoscopy without seeing the Dr. again.because it has to be within 30 days.. and I didn’t even get a physical exam! Just gave her my medical history! Perhaps they only want to deal with Medicare patients? Dr Jara is pleasant and caring enough, but too bad the staff and rules of their practice are.simply awful. Since I’m a colon cancer survivor, I need more from my GI practice than rote service. It’ll be easier to fly back to Chicago to see my longtime Dr than deal with this place.

I had to ask Dr Jara to explain positive test results prior to going under for my colonoscopy since her nurse didn’t have Dr Jara call me because she couldn’t explain them either. I tested pot I’ve for SIBO and had to get a Rx that literally costs over $1000-yes over a thousand; it’s an antibiotic. She said she would speak with her. No one followed up with me to retest or discuss it. Months after my colonoscopy her nurse called to give me results of it again; I said are you kidding, look at the date in which this was done! I already had to call you about it & even then she didn’t even know the answer about a question I asked her concerning it. Again no one called me back. NOW A YEAR LATER, I just got a bill from them saying this was my left over from my insurance(s). When I asked why, the girl said we had a problem submitting it. Really! This office is incompetent & my feelings are that Dr Jara just wanted to collect the money from an expensive procedure. No one cared about my health… .

Poor beside manner and doesn’t listen to what the patients say.

New insurance did not cover previous provider for colonoscopy so I was referred to Dr. Jara. At initial consultation, found her to be extremely professional and caring. Although I had to wait for nearly three hours in the waiting room because of some problems, my procedure went smoothly and I found Dr. Jara and the assisting staff very caring. After care was wonderful too.

Just wanted to say it was a blessing to have Dr. Juan Omana refer me to Dr. Sandra Jara. She is a very caring physician and did a great job with my gastro problems. I would highly recommend her and do.
