The screening apt was fine, I was comfortable with the information I was asked and received. As the procedure date arrived I felt unprepared on my prep procedures. I got two sentences of instruction on the drink solution but none from the Doctor. As a first time procedure patient I would have liked some instructions 36 hours prior to procedure than 24. The prep itself was not as bad as I anticipated BUT I started it WAY earlier than needed due to NO prior instructions.

Dr Shrestha is very knowledgeable and caring and very good at what he does.

For some reason, he was adamant about me having a surgery that it turns out, I didn't need. Especially if he had just kept me on Prednisone until my Humira had come in. Which took five months to process because the incompetent office staff kept losing my paperwork that I gave to them, or did not bother to inform me that I needed to retake a blood test until a full month had passed. He thinks that it is his way or no way. I was not paying him so he could tell me how to live my life. I was paying him so he could help me live the life I want to live. The joke is on him though. I received the medication I needed from someone who actually did care. He will never see another penny from me. I would rather flare and die a horrible, long, drawn out death in a ditch, then to have to see him or deal with the office staff again.

After a year of treatment, I received a letter notifying me that care would be ended immediately. This came a few days after declining to continue name brand medication (overly advertised) due to experiencing horrible side effects. I stated I wanted to continue treatment with just one medication to avoid further illnesses. She agreed, then sent a letter ending care. It seems as though there might be some compensation from these companies to use their medication and when you want to try other treatment, she drops you. The charges to the insurance are outrageous, but you're lucky to get 5 minutes of her time and she doesn't take the time to hear all your symptoms and medication side effects. Very dangerous.

Had my endoscopy and colonoscopy yesterday. Didn't spend much post-op time with me. I guess I'll have to wait till my 3 week follow-up to ask specific questions about his findings. Otherwise, I really like him and feel he's handling my case accordingly.I'll post again if anything changes....
