Dr. Sarah Terese Calvert, MD

Honestly am confused about the reviews. I saw her today for the first time and had a good experience. She was thorough, answered questions, not rushed, and we were able to make a plan for follow up. Scheduling and the front office is less desirable, but I’m glad I took the chance with Dr. Calvert.

My first visit with a Dr at Oly OBGYN was with Dr.Calvert. I found her to be condescending and just unwelcoming. Considering that she deals with pregnant women on the daily you would think that she would be a little more considerate and warm. I would never recommend her and honestly think she should be reassigned to a job not with the public because she lacks basic human emotion. I see a new Doctor this month and hope that it is more comfortable then this last experience.

I had to be seen the day I called in. This was my first time meeting her as the office has different doctors that you never know which one you will have. I felt as though I was an inconvenience to her. I felt my symptoms were blown off and didn't thoroughly examine me in all aspects. I had an appointment with her on a Monday, going home with no real answers and said to be completely normal during pregnancy....this office has an after hours line to call so I did the next day which it happened to be her. I had talked to her still complaining about I was experiencing these pains, she still had no idea what I could have had, and I thought maybe it was constipation and what would be appropriate to take? She suggested one but unsure of another. Come Wednesday morning, I delivered my girl at home at 22 weeks...rushed to the ER in an ambulance. A report came back saying I developed an infection..and because of a placenta separation...which a placenta abruption can be seen on an ultrasound. Had… an ultrasound been done on a Monday for reassurance regardless of the same outcome, I would have rather been admitted to hospital mentally preparing for what was coming than thinking I was fine and that I was normal and having her at home. I don't trust her, nor would I recommend any of my friends to her. I will be finding another doctor office who will be monitoring me closely and care for me and my future pregnancy.

Given the symptoms I had described to at least two previous providers at other offices, Dr Calvert was the first to suggest looking for fibroids. The quality of care is good. I really like Dr Calvert and feel my problem is being resolved.
