Dr. Sarah B. Shores, DO

Dr. Shores lacks compassionate and i would not recommend her or the revolving door of other doctors in this practice. If you come for a well woman and have am issue she will refuse to talk about anything unwell and force you to schedule a problem appointment and the next available is in 2 months. I dont want to see a doctor who doesn't at least ask what the problem is before they refuse to treat you because you have the wrong type of appointment.

Always a professional service with very caring people.

Expect to wait at least 45 minutes after your appointment time in the waiting room then another 10-15 minutes sitting half naked to see the doctor to spend a total 2-4 minutes actually with her. I have had to see her about 5x within the last 6 months and this has been the scenario every time without an apology or acknowledgement from her or the staff. Wait time would be my biggest complaint. I understand deliveries/appointments can be unpredictable and cause delay but it doesn't seem like there is much concern to schedule appointments to give her plenty of time for those potentially time consuming patients. It's quantity instead of quality. I never really connected with her, everything always seemed rushed due to constantly being behind and I didn't find her to be very personable. I have a condition that she explained to me but I never felt like my questions were fully answered and options fully explained. I felt like a number there. I have since switched doctors and am much happier.

Dr. Shores was the 3rd gyn I had seen for help with HRT and abnormal bleeding. She helped navigate me through a DNC, endometrial ablation and finally a hysterectomy. I didn't want to be one of the statistics of having an unnecessary hysterectomy, so we went through all of the other options before we got to that place. Dr. Shores performed the hysterectomy last year, and there was nothing to it. I was in the hospital one night and recovered within a week. My only negative feedback is that it is often difficult to get an appointment very quickly. I had to wait 7 weeks for the ablation and also the hysterectomy. That was a long time to have daily bleeding. She always spent plenty of time with me and answered all of my questions. Dr. Shores is great.

I changed to Dr. Shores based on recommendations by several friends. My 1st visit I felt she just did not take the time to talk to me or even answer my questions. When I went to ask her some basic questions she basically told me she had a packet that would answer my questions & pushed me out the door.I decided to give her a 2nd chance. At my second appointment I waited almost 2 hours to see her! She did not say sorry or have any reason why the wait was so long. I then had to give blood & they only reason I even knew the large amount of blood I would have to give was by friends telling me.After being there for over 2 hours, missing lunch & being pregnant & not feeling well, a nurse comes in to take my blood. After taking 6 vials of blood I was not feeling well at all. My husband then asked the nurse if they had any orange juice. She had some smart remark along the lines of,"it's not like she gave a pint of blood."After passing out on the way to the lounge to lay down I knew… right then that I could not go back to this doctor. Thank god my husband was with me & there to catch me when I passed out. Lord only knows what would of happened if he was not there to take care of me.I have never been so upset & disappointed by a doctor. It just seems that no one wants to be bothered with the patients and they just don't seem to care.

Dr. Shores has been my ob for 5 years and has delivered 2 of my children. She is a wonderful doctor who has a great bedside manner - she always ask how my kids are doing. Dr. Shores always answers ALL my questions and I never feel rushed. The office staff/nurses are also very helpful and return your phone calls promptly. The practice is large but that is also very encouraging that others feel comfortable with the practice.
