Located the exact spot of my pain area. Along with compassion. Caring about his patients well being. I leave there feeling good about my pain going away safely.

Discharged due to being tardy one too many times. He doesn't take into consideration that a patient's vehicle is old and prone to problems; patient is on disability and cannot afford a new car, also patient needs a ride if unable to drive so the patient waits for the other driver who may be having circumstances of their own, making them late; lastly patient lives in Northern Pinellas County and the office is in St. Petersburg, long travel, would cost too much by cab, and traffic causes delays many times. I have some social anxiety as well as long term adult ADD leading me to history of trouble with tracking time, time management, etc. Looking for another doctor now, and get the looks and cool salutations as if I'm "doctor shopping," which I most assuredly am not.

Dr Perera gave me the first pain relief I have had in 10 years with his surgical procedure and minimized my need to take pain medication.

He only cares about making money! As others have stated, he insists on giving too many expensive shots and doesn't care about the patients pain! You will be just another Dollar Sign to him!

My mother is not completely out of pain however if it weren't for Dr Perera she would still be laying in Edward White Hospital waiting for a psychiatrist which is what her orthopedic surgeon (Dr Tolli) was prescribing for her. Dr Perera recognized my mother's pain and was able to keep her off the morphine drip so she could go home after 10 days languishing in the hospital. He continues to work with her and she will never be completely pain free but he is helping to make it more manageable. We trust Dr. Perera. He and his staff have been as accommodating as possible and yes we've had to wait a long time too but not unusual for Dr.'s these days unfortunately.

Have seen this Dr. every month for 7 yrs. - 5/29/12 was not a good day w/me also! They said they could no longer help me, mainly because I could not afford the injections any more ($1400) w/Insurance. They also over charged me on ea/apt. by $40 (good luck to me on getting that back!). 7 yrs. of following all the rules/guidelines & now I can't see them, because of this? They must really make good money on those injections! I thought Drs. were suppose to have "Compassion"? NOT THESE PEOPLE!

After waiting an hourat my last appt where I fired him, however I have waited for 3 hours, never an apology. Was treated unprofessionaly, couldn't get their in house dr to show up for a EMG test for two months, kept canceling the day before. I explained to him that the pain meds he was perscribing for me were not strong enough, he jumps to morhine..... I said no thank you. As I am walking out he says take this chart to the front on your way out, I turned around and gave him a piece of my mind, he says I have never been talk to like that before, then I fired him. I wasted 3 months of my time with this DR, off to look for a new one. Not a pleasent experience would not reccomend to anyone for any reason, ever.

I had to change doctors due to insurance.CONSTANT injections.No problem with the amount of meds.I thought him completely uncaring. They make more money off the injections. When I finally realized I needed a different doctor my pain level had increased by 100%.When I stressed this to him, he gave me photo copied neck exercises. I had been through 12 weeks of phys therapy. I was on vacation and spent a week in a hotel room crying.I still get injections, as needed. No problem getting appointments, and the office was beautiful, with reasonable wait times. I thought the main idea was to help control pain, not increase it.He never listened to a thing I said either. I think, as another review stated that it has alot to do with being female. That is the attitude I percieved.Thought he was actually kind of a jerk. I have an excellant, caring,listening Dr. now. I improved with new Dr.Dropping pain level from 150% with him, to about 30-40%. I am able to function now!!

After waiting an hour in the reception area for my appointent also waited an excessive amount of time in the room for the Dr. no apology offered. Was treated unprofessionaly, he spoke on the phone several times during the consult. After the exam waited another 35 minutes for him to return. Not a pleasent experience would not reccomend to anyone.
