Dr. Scott Edward Manthei, DO

Dr Manthei saved my life by finding and treating my parathyroid. He removed my daughters tonsils after years of refusal by other ENT doctors. Dr Manthei is now going to correct my husbands deviated septum. He is an exceptional highly educated surgeon. Dr Manthei is a blessing to our family. and we trust him 100%. This man is not to be trusted and will take advantage of you if he can. I'd been dealing with tonsillitis for a long time and came to see him for that. I was anxious and concerned for my health and wanted to do anything I could to improve it. He took advantage of that by selling me on a septoplasty that I didn't need. (and I'll bet my left arm, he's done that to many more) I foolishly fell for his ploy and now, every time I touch my nose, I'm reminded of it. He didn't accomplish anything with the procedure except for making the structure of my nose weaker. It was all for nothing and he made money from it.

Dr Manthei botched my surgery so badly I had to have surgery again 6 months later to correct all of his mistakes. He is arrogant and does care about the well being of his patients

My name is Jennifer Schulman. I once had a very good life. I was very confident and beautiful. I relied on my beauty and bone structure and confidence to be able to take great photos, which is what I was passionate about. I was attacked in 2013 and left with a very big bump only visible if you looked at me from the right side. I still felt and looked like myself. I still could take wonderful photos. After being strangled and while I had ptsd.. I went to him for help. I wasn’t breathing as well as usually and I wanted the bump shaved down a little. I am Jewish and have a big nose. It is my most prominent or was my most prominent feature. My entire face was connected to my nose. After undergoing surgery with Scott Manthei.. I was left permanently disfigured. I look like Michael Jackson too. One side of my lower caudal septum has collapsed and is obstructed. He dissected my cartilage.. I’m missing pieces all over the place. I specifically said do not touch the top of my nose and he did.… But these are not small changes these changes are so obvious and just horrible looking. I had a long beautiful tip that pointed down and he shortened and pointed it up like a pig! I feel he hates Jewish woman! He made my nose so small that I do not look Jewish anymore in fact I feel so ugly and outside of myself that I want to die. He should have know that since my skin is so thick it would not redrape well. I am left with saggy skin all over. I look like I have been beaten severely over and over. My eyes look different. I look crazy and am so ashamed of myself. I do not leave the house. If I do not get help, which I have no money to pay for, I’m praying for my life. I can’t take photos anymore. I am so depressed. I’m only 34 and be aged me so much. He said he would fix my nostril and from the stress of this I developed Bradycardia and while I was on the operating table he called it off! I need help so badly. I want my face completely fixed! This has destroyed my life! I have evidence. I had to start seeing a psych for mental problems because of this. I want him to pay for what he did to me. He was already being paid by Medicaid to do unnecessary surgeries on me.. he added in things that didn’t need to be done.. then made me pay 1200 for removing the bump! Oh god please help me. Scott Manthei you are a life ruiner and I will do everything in my power now that I have finally gained a little strength back, to see that you are reprimanded for this and that I receive the care I need and it needs to be covered by Medicaid. You have ruined my life I am not exaggerating. It has been three years since the surgery and I can finally leave my first review! Please do not hurt anybody else because nobody should have to feel this kind of pain. Nobody’s self worth should be diminished like this. I want so badly to see my true self when I look in the mirror. All I want is my face to be put back to how it should be how I was born. That is all I have ever wanted. If he had just shaved the bump down a tiny bit like I asked and not done all this random weird stuff to me, I would be ok right now!

BAD BAD EXPERIENCE OVERALL...HAD SURGERY BY TIS ARROGANT DR MANTHIE AND THE WHOKE EXPERINCE WAS A LIVING NIGHTMARE!!! I WAS TREATED WITH WRONG MEDICATION FOR MONTHS AND IF HE WAS SMART ENOUGH TO PRESCRIBE PROPER MEDICATION..NO SURGERY WOULD HAVE BEEN NEED...IM UNDER THE CARE OF A NEW ENT, ALLERGIST AND ID DR...THEY ALL WERE NOT SURPRISED WHO DID THEVAWFUL SURGERY AND MISDIAGNOSIS..WHAT A MESS HE IS...MEAN AND NUTS ON TOP OF IT ALL..HIS OFFICE STAFF IS COBFUSED AS WELL..DONT GO!!!!

Horrible from start to finish. I have already had to have another surgery to fix what he messed up.

Dr Manthie should not be doing surgery on anyone! Hes completely destroyed my sinuses and will have lifelong problems due to his careless ways. He should not be teaching anyone! The office staff is rude and take on the arrogance of Manthie..Dawn who is the nurse over there says the place is run by a bunch of people who are not "very smart"..her words with frustration...please don't go!!!! Worst experience and no one should be treated so poorly when they are trusting to get proper care!!!
