These people at this pain management clinic don’t do anything don’t go here this is a scam they sit there and collect money for insurance companies and don’t do anything for people

This Dr should not be working at Mayo. After many surgeries, I have chronic pain. I was being prescribed a medication by my PCP, who no longer prescribes this and told me my pain management Dr, should be the one to do this. When I relayed this message to this Dr. he just started accusing me of just wanting drugs and questioning me like I was mis-using my medication. I am 71 years old. I am allergic to many meds, I can only take this one medication as I have chronic pain and will for the rest of my life. This man had me in tears. I never experienced such behavior ever. He also knew I have anxiety and would not let up. He was very arrogant and defensive, very inappropriate behavior. I was told that I could report him to patient experience which I did, that is how bad it was. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Wow, sure wish we had read these reviews before wasting our time with "dr" Palmer. Agree with all over reviews. Not caring, cocky, yes we are surprised Mayo has kept him. Total waste of time & money with the MAYO SPINE CLINIC. Last of 4 drs seen, no diagnosis. By all means go elsewhere.

Dr Palmer was great. Very professional and kind. Recommended a facet injection for my chronic back pain. Have been fighting this over 2 years. Had all the other procedures done cortisone injections, MRI's, physical therapy, ect. The day of the steroid injection Dr. Palmer was gentle and professional. Talked me though each step. The entire staff was excellent at Mayo. Would recommend Dr. Palmer .

He seemed bored with his job. No kindness. He literally punched me in the back during exam to the point I yelled and my husband objected to how he was dealing with me. Just wanted me to go into their very expensive pain clinic I could not afford. I was so sore the next day from his "exam". I left and never would I go back.

The best of the best if you need a back injection.

I agree with all that the other people stated. I am shocked that Mayo has him on staff, tried 3 x's to sell me on a SCS unit that was not designed for my illness, also tried to push p/t on me even though twice I told him I was in p/t for over 4 years at my own expense and am still going. Told me that he would work with Ortho from Mayo to help my left hand get fixed but not once did he look at the Ortho's notes. Shame on you, for not caring enough at your job to listen to the patient or the other dr's advice.

Dr. Palmer is not very friendly. Was trying to sell me on Pain management clinic before I was diagnosed and he had no part in that, Did not seem to like me and the feeling was mutual. I felt his physical exam was much too rough. Would never go back to him. Did not seem to want to work with my pain especially since I would not sign up for the clinic. Patients only have so much money, Dr. Palmer. Never heard from him again. Would never go back to him.
