Dr. Scott Michael Pearlman, DO

I was in the hospital for a TIA. He apparently saw me 2x while in the hospital. Originally, his office tried to bill me $600. for the ER claiming he was the ER doctor but has a contract with Holy Cross and not an ER doctor. I contacted my insurance company and they sent them a fax & letter noting that they pay him for seeing me since it was in the hospital. The next bill was for a copy; they are now trying to bill me a co-pay for 2 visits while I was in the hospital!! Shame on them, sad part is I don't remember him or his "consult" at all. He maybe good but then again with all the garbage I have had to go through with his "billing" practices I would not be able to recommend him.

I liked the doctor through out his treatment of my mother, however I did not feel he had the expertise he was treating my mother for. She initially saw him for two different ailments, for the first I took her to another doctor right away as he says he can not ease the pain in her back with medications at all (not allowed to write pain Rx). I did want her treated for back pain but at 78 yrs old I do not feel therapy 3 times a week in the way to go. As for the second, at first I knew nothing about dementia and thought he was doing a fine job. Then she was dismissed as a patient for missing 4 appointments. Two were due to the fact we were running a few minutes late and I called the office to let them know and they canceled the appointments on their own. At this point I started researching dementia and realized he is not really qualified to treat this as well OR just not doing it well. In addition to dismissing her, he (according to the office manager) refused to refill her Rx even after… being told she was running out of the medication and knowing she can not stop this medication all at once. His office manager makes the decisions as to who gets to speak with him and I have tried but not received a call concerning my mother. This is a start to letting people know about Dr. Scott Pearlman in my view. Thank you!

absolutely NO bed side manner, i found him to be very cold, rude and a compete waste of my time and money.....his diagnostic skills were not the greatest, he appeared to lack experience.....and most of all compassion....i was hoping that the fact that he was DO, he would be more open minded and knowledgeable........not at all......
