Dr. Scott G Postell, MD

Dr Postell is a outstanding GYN doctor. Only downside is because of this it may take awhile to get an appt with him. He was introduced to me by a bestfriend of mine 12 years ago and I still feel safe with him. He delivered my son via c-section 11 years ago and was always honest and open with me. I feel like he cares about his patients. You dont get to many doctors that actually care.

He made a racist comment during my exam, and high risked me out of his practice, and referred me to clinic charity care, even though I'm not high risk and my insurance covers much better care (not at a clinic) which I am now thankfully receiving. He disparaged midwives, home births and was just generally gruff and unpleasant. He's obsessed with BMI, he seemed to be seething with contempt for his patients, like upon seeing me, had decided he didn't want me as a patient, I don't want a racist fatphobic jerk as a doctor anyway, so it worked out. But it was still traumatic and awful, and no one should have to suffer him. Also he didn't run at least half of the tests my much better OB considers totally routine (and that were fully covered by my insurance). Avoid at all costs. ODA has a great PA but that's about the only positive to their practice.

Excellent with my care and he did an amazing job with my c section . I felt great to have him . I would continue to have him as my doctor.
