Let my mother in law suffer! Knew he had to order an hospitalist but did not! consequence she suffered !

No follow up. Terrible and ignorant nurse. Waited in office for 4 hours.

Choosing Dr Purvines to perform my much needed back surgery turned out to be one of my better decisions - his great sense of humor doesn’t hurt either

Dr. provines gave us a unique experience with aiding in fixing wife's back and treating us like friends and people instead of a paycheck. I have never seen a doctor that listened and worked with a patient like he has. He is a people person and had my wife fixed when many other doctors brushed us off. Dr Purvine handled my surgery for a severely herniated disc. I had been in sever pain for weeks waiting on MRI authorizations and physical therapy. By the time I got to him, I had almost lost hope. Dr Purvine got me into surgery the NEXT day and when I woke up, the pain was gone. It was the first time I felt like a doctor really cared about making me better. His whole team at St Lukes is amazing.

Dr Purvines did my surgery in October. My first visit he took his time, explained everything to my husband and I and happily answered any questions. He didn't rush to surgery, and in fact consulted with several colleagues before proceeding. He even called me on a Sunday evening to update me. My surgery was perfect, he brought others in on my case to help manage it, and his covering staff were phenomenal. Every follow up visit he's been patient and understanding. I'm amazed how beautifully the Incision healed. Now, my only complaint was with having office ppl return calls, or in getting refills. But overall, they've still been good. I wouldn't hesistate to have him do surgery on me or any of my family. I'll also say, I've been a nurse over 17 years, so I'm very particular in my choices.

My mother has been in a lot of pain and not sleeping for months. After seeing the doc she was anxious about the surgery but seemed to be comfortable with him and was ready and hopeful. The day before the surgery she ended up with an infection and had to reschedule. But rescheduling can be quite difficult when no one wil call her back. Now after reading these reviews, I'm glad no one will call her back. Not only does his office staff seem to be a mess but his aftercare doesn't seem so great either. I think the infection may have been a blessing in disguise .

I just read the review from the Nov. 26, 2012. How I wish I could talk to you in person. I am still suffering pain after a fusion from Dr. Purvines. More than one doctor has since told me, that they don't think the surgery was needed. Is there anyone else out there in our shoes?

I was referred to Dr Purvines for problems in my neck, shoulder and arm.Dr Purvines came in and told me i might need surgery but that he could not review my MRI results because of computer issues. He told me that I would be contacted as soon as they could review them. After one week with no contact I called his office. I was told that they would make a note to let the Dr know my concerns and have him call back. It has been two weeks, and still no contact from him. I think his actions show no professionalism at all. The MRI results that the doctor could not view, i was able to call facility and get within one hour of calling so I know this cannot be used as an excuse for this poor of service.
