Dr. Scott Courtney Robertson, MD

I have never been under the knife but needed to after a slipped disc. Naturally, I was a complete wreck when I went in for my initial visit with Dr. Robertson but he was so great with me and my family and our millions of questions. By the end of the visit, I felt so much more assured. I am so thankful that our family friend recommended him to us. He is an excellent surgeon and even better care provider.

Dr. Robertson was able to give my my life back! I was in severe spinal pain and had seen other doctors before but nothing help. I appreciated his straightforward approach, when I had questions, he answered ALL of them and did not seem annoyed. He helped me and my family so much. We are forever grateful.

I was in a lot of pain following an injury. Dr. Robertson was able to get me seen and into surgery sooner than excepted. I met with Dr. Robertson and liked that he was to the point about my issues. After surgery the previous pain was gone! Recovery was abit rough because of what I did, but I followed up with him as scheduled and am very happy with my outcome.

Robertson did back surgery on me and did not adhere to the problem that needed focused on! Used a Co-Flex device that did nothing but cause more pain, and was not healing properly. no follow up scheduled for monitoring his lack of ability! I'm worse than before this surgical mess he made!

his secretaries never do what they say! I asked for a work release to be mailed to me and was told it would be mailed the same day I called, but it was never mailed and I had to go to the office to pick it up. I have also had problems getting my referral appointments they were supposed to make for me. I never got any. So far, the secretaries have not done anything for me the doctor told them to do. I have been waiting over 6 months for a referred doctor to call for my epidural injections. Still have not heard anything. I gave up on that!

I had spinal lumbar stenosis, which is where my nerves out of my spinal cord were pinched off from pressure by the disc. This caused me to not be able to feel my right foot or lower leg, sore hamstrings, and backpain. Dr. Roberston did a spinal fusion with laminectomy last year. The operation went well. I had some feeling back after a few days. Within a few months I had most of my feeling back. Now 8 months later I still have some numbness in my foot, but it can take a year or two to fully regenerate. MUCH, MUCH better off than I was before the surgery. I highly recommend him. You're in good hands.

we come to see them because we are in pain. We ask questions, not because we are trying to take up all their time or to inconvenience them, but because we want to make informed decisions that are best for our lives. In order for us to do that we make an appointment for an office visit. We are paying for their time. Asking for their opinion on alternatives should not be taken as questioning their profession or abilities. Not everyone desires going to the hospital for surgery. Issues of family obligations and employer scrutiny are important factors, as is our fear and the financial impact. We may very well choose surgery but it won't often be after one visit and with no quesitons asked. Those office visits are our way of guaging and choosing a surgeon. If we aren't treated well by a doctor we are standing in front of, we aren't likely to trust we will treated any better with a surgical knife in their hands. Who's to say if doctors are willing to butcher the emotional side of a patient… they wouldn't do the same in a physical aspect. Doctors should treat patients like their businesses depend on it and should care for the whole person.

Dr. Robertson is an excellent doctor. I like the way he explains your diagnosis and the options you have. He answered all my questions.
