Dr. Scott William Thompson, MD

I am amazed how well my surgery went. I could not hear out of my left ear. After the surgery I could hear perfectly. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson, best experience I have ever had with a doctor, and I am 72 years old. Thank you Doc.

Dr thompson has been my ENT for well over 3 years. I have bilateral hearing loss and am essentially deaf. Dr Thompson worked with me regarding my apprehension my fear and after that time, I finally had cochlear implant surgery. Dr Thompson took great care of me. He is prompt about getting me in when needed. He is patient even when my toddler has to come to the office with me. He is just all around phenomenal. I look forward to continuing to be his patient and my next CI surgery.

This guy was suppose to do my daughter's surgery for a cochlear implant. She is 16 and a 12 year cancer survivor, brain cancer! And yes all that was in the book of paperwork I had to fill out...did he read it? Who knows. He wanted an MRI to see her inner ear and make sure everything looked good in it. So we did the MRI. He called me on a Friday afternoon around 1:45, the office closed at 2 on Fridays, and left a voicemail saying the inner ear looked fine but they seem a cyst on her frontal lobe. WTH! You dont leave a message like that on a mothers phone who's child had 2 cancerous brain tumors! So of course I called back and the office was closed. I had to sit and worry about this all weekend. When he finally called me back on Monday, all he had to say was he was sorry I felt the way I did. Really?

My daughter began having problems with periodic bleeding from the ear canal when she was 9 yrs old. We had tubes put in and tubes taken out along with 6 weeks of IV antibiotics at home. Eventually we went to Dr. Thompson and he found that she had a choelosteotoma that needed to be removed in order to prevent future damage to the ear. The procedure was successful and she did well; however, over time the cyst came back and had to be removed again. Due to the trauma to the ear drum and canal, she had to have reconstruction and a prosthesis put in. She also did very well through this procedure. She eventually lost about 30% of her hearing in that ear and wears a hearing aide. My daughter was under the care of Dr Thompson for 8 years and never once during his treatment of her did I have a complaint. She was a little girl who was scared of what was happening to her and Dr Thompson always made the effort to explain what was going on to her. He was very thorough when he explained the… problem, the procedures and the prognosis of her condition to my husband and me. She is now almost 21 and is a junior in college and she is thriving. I owe her medical success to Dr Thompson. I would recommend him to anyone needing specialized care from an ENT.

Dr. Thompson is pinnacle!! He is above and beyond the best! I will never let another doctor touch my ears the rest of my life nor my sons'! He is exceptional in all areas and more!! I love my doctor!!

I saw Dr. Scott Thompson today because of headaches (non-migraine). I waited about 30 minutes before being seen. I do not think 20 or 30 minutes is a long time to wait, as I understand they have patients that take a longer time than others. Dr. Thompson was very professional, nice and had a great "bed side" manner. He showed concern of my problem. He explained what he thought might be causing my headaches and is ordering test. All his staff--from the check in personnel, his nurse and all other staff members I had contact with were polite, courteous and friendly. I high recommend Dr. Scott Thompson.

went to dr thompson as referral from oncologist/hematolgist for unstoppable nose bleed. First thought he ws a bit curt but ok dr he packed noseand tried to cauterize in the office. he said needed surgically fix..called family to be able to get in next day for surgery dr stated can wait until wednesday although bleeding not stopped. wednesday came along and 1 hour before I was to be at the hospital cancelled the surgery until the next day. had surgery my sister and I requested he get hematologist or check blood counts because I was severely weak and pale..coukd not walk on own adn could stand less than a minute. he said he may call later..no call was made. results next orning rushed to hospital had to have emergency pic line and received 8 units of blood and platelets placed in cardiac intensive care thought I was going to die...all could have been prevented if he did something about the bleeding which was severe and huge clots.Still have not gotten follow up..considering… malpractice suit against him...if in an emergency would not trust his care.

My mother had a benign tumor in her ear canal (acoustic neuroma) removed about a year and half ago. Dr. Thompson spent 10 1/2 hours in surgery to remove the tumor while taking care not to damage her facial nerve. Although she lost her hearing in the affected ear and continues to have some balance problems, the removal of the tumor was necessary to prevent more problems in the future. Recently, Dr.Thompson implanted a bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA) that consists of a titanium screw and a transmitter that collects sound wave and transfers them through the skull to her good ear. She is still in the process of learning how to differentiate between natural sounds and sounds from the BAHA. Dr. Thompson has combined professionalism with kindness and caring for his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering surgery for a hearing problem.
