I recently had a visit with Drm Kraekel and came away very impressed with the experience. From the start he took the time to listen to my symptoms and concerns without rushing the appointment. I never felt dismissed or pushed in a particular direction. What stood out most was his honesty and conservative approach. Rather than seeming eager to recommend procedures, he carefully evaluated my situation and provided a thoughtful measured opinion. I appreciatedthat he did not appear "hungry for business" but instead focused on what was truly in my best interest. Overall, I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, honest and patient focused surgeon.

Years ago I had my right knee replaced. My memories of that surgery were so awful, I waited until I  could barely walk before admitting to myself that I needed to have my left knee replaced. Having gone to the OrthoVirginia practice for a hand problem several years ago, I decided to use a doctor within that practice for my knee replacement. I couldn't have made a better decision in selecting Dr Sean Kraekel. He was the best. He was incredibly honest in advising me of what to expect from surgery and its accompanying recovery period. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions, even though some were probably a little crazy. He gave me excellent advice on steps to provide a speedier recovery. By following through on that advice, my recovery has been incredibly easier and much less painful than my last knee replacement surgery.  In less than seven weeks, I am walking and bicycling without the pain I experienced before the surgery. What I was not expecting, and was very… impressed by, was his asking me for feedback and listening to my opinions about the surgery and my recovery, discussing what worked best for me and any problems I encountered. I can’t speak highly enough about the excellent care Dr Kraekel and his staff provided me and definitely recommend him for knee replacement surgery.

Dr Kraekel spent time listening to all my concerns. He was patient and thorough and very compassionate. I left there feeling so much better about my physical condition. It has been a long time since I have encountered a doctor like him. I have absolute trust in this doctor. The staff was great too, very considerate and helpful.
