Dr. Sebastian B Ruggeri, MD

I don't usually write reviews... ok, actually, I never write reviews, but I felt the need to write one for Dr. Ruggeri. Not only is he a great guy, so likeable and easy-going, but he saved my livelihood! I am an independent-licensed electrician and a little more than two months ago, I took a terrible misstep while on a job and almost completely severed the thumb on my right hand. The realization that I may never be able to work again was even worse than the pain; and the pain was pretty awful. The ER doctor was very frank with me and my prognosis; his response was very grim, essentially confirming my suspicions that my career was over. However, Dr. Ruggeri was called in and he took my mind off of my situation by asking me about my trade and expressing his interest in open circuits, series circuits, parallel circuits, etc. He finished up by saying almost sententiously, "let's get you into surgery so you can get back to work." It has now been nearly 2 months since my accident and apart… from some residual stiffness, I feel great! I am completely amazed that I am back to work and I am able to use my hand again. Thank you, Dr. R!

Worst staff ever! The only two people that I enjoy seeing are Pedro and Gary. The front desk lady is rude. Gave me attitude when I went to pick up my medical records and said “well did I call you to tell you it was done?” I said no I was told they would be ready the next day and get response was “well you’re supposed to wait for a call” I talked to Steven the day prior and he said it would have been done by the next morning and I went right before they closed and it still wasn’t ready I had to wait 20 minutes for them to be printed. They also CHARGED ME for my records! I have had 5 surgeries and countless medica visits and they needed to charge me for my records. I have never been charged and they wouldn’t bill my insurance company! Here comes the best part! When I was looking through the packet with my medical records I found a paper with another patients information !!! Talk about HIPPA violation ! Dr. Rugerri is pretty good but needs way better staff!

20 years ago I crashed my motorcycle and shattered all the bones in my wrist. Now 20 years later I haven't had any problems whatsoever with my wrist. Thank you so much Dr Ruggeri...

Dr. Ruggeri and staff are all on point. My surgery was a success and great aftercare, minimal wait time to see the doctor and friendly check ins and outs!

My comment is C I thought I was a bad patient but somebody else on here wrote the medical board about doctor and Jerry will let me tell you something. Dr ruggeri he not only did me wrong but I try to apologize to him and make it right and he didn't even accept my apology or send my paperwork back to me and this man in his sixties he does not need to be going surgery I went to another hand doctor and he told me that no one does wrist Fusion anymore by taking your hip out and when I told her I'd permanent stitches in my hand he said well I don't know what Dr ruggeri did I'm confused but if it doesn't belong there then I'll take it out so if I were all you all I would not go to this doctor I've run faster

In my 60 years, I've only written to the Board of Medical Examiners about 2 Dr's & this is one of them. My wrist was still painful months after Carpal Tunnnel surgery, so I thought maybe a cortizone shot would help. I said really my elbow hurt worse than my wrist(tendonitis), so maybe he could give me a shot there, too. (smile) He put the lidocaine at the top of the shringe instead of the bottom, so felt like he stuck a needle in my wrist 8 x's with no anesthetic. When my body was clenching from extreme pain, he said if I would relax it wouldn't hurt so much. When he was done, he said, "NOW do you want one in your elbow?" It started getting numb after I left. Shocking what some doctors will do and what they get away with.

I wasn't going to write this I was going to this but I changed my mind because I think you all on Google should know this I went to doctor ruggeri he did two surgeries on the hand and one on the elbow I didn't want to do the last surgery that he wanted to do a surgery where they take the crest out and put it in your wrist and I wasn't willing to do that cuz I was scared to walk with a limp or whatever besides the point I stress to this man something's wrong something's wrong finally I went to another doctor he sent me for CT scan and saying that part of the lunate bone is still left in the wrist and the other bone is erosion to it and the wrist collapse I wish I could go back to Dr ruggeri because he did the last two surgeries even this doctor gave me a choice of a different surgery I rather have doctor ruggeri do it so he is a good doctor it's just my mouth got the best of me and I apologize to him and apologize to everybody because of what I said was very inappropriate if I could… take it back I would but just to let you know he's a very patient doctor but now I'm scared because the Looney bone was left partial in there and the other bones are starting to rot I don't think that it's fair the way he left me I know you wanted to do wrist Fusion but I didn't want that and that's my fault for walking out I wanted PRC surgery and I have a CT scan right here that totally shows that they're still metallic pieces in the wrist I was thinking about writing apology letter but I don't know if I should do it because

I went in yesterday and the Dr who saw me made me a splinter out of a hard cotton band that stuck to my arm with a bandage. He told me to take it off and wear it at night. Well I wore it last night and this morning I woke up with a major rash, he should've just told me to buy a splinter, bad Dr I won't go there again.

He takes on too many patients. I'm writing this at 11:04 am while still waiting to see him, and my appointment was for 10am.

I want a proxy Rock high top of me and I was under the impression that that was what he was going to do but he did not do that he took it upon himself and did a surgery that he wanted and now the stitches still in the hand and he told me before well if you ever go to another doctor that I have to call me anyways cuz I'm the only one that knows what I did but let alone he Release Me social anxiety I wouldn't go to this doctor because he doesn't know how to deal with anxiety and yeah if I could go back and change it I would but he's still a good doctor
