Dr. Seijo Oi, MD

For several years Dr. Oi has treated me for what seems to be complicated health problems. Doctor always determines correct diagnosis..... He has taken good care of me. I rely on him for my health care. He displays a calm reashuring manner. Great doctor! Y. Robinson

Another doctor referred me Dr. Oi for pulmonary testing. 1) For starters I was delighted by the welcoming staff, the tranquil waiting room, the brief wait time both times (5 minutes or less). 2) Then Dr. Oi's friendly, conversational demeanor, his explanation of the tests I would take and what they would tell us. He elaborated clearly on my condition and what we were looking for and why. He was encouraging and upbeat, while efficient. 3) Later I received my bill and I could actually understand it. It was easy to read, gave info about what was done (even though it was medical lingo), and I could find everything, the form was laid out and designed well without being busy. I couldn't believe it compared to all the bills I get elsewhere. Thanks for Dr. Oi's excellent care and overall practice.

Dr. Oi is more rushed than when my husband and I became his patients. He is genuinely concerned about patients' health and is quick to act when patients are ill, but not proactive enough otherwise. He does very little during routine semi-annual appointments and does not seem much concerned about giving preventive advice. There is no nurse or nurse practitioner. On almost every lab test order, he makes errors. We are wondering whether we should change primary care doctors.
