Dr. Selena Anne Lantry, MD

I saw Dr. Lantry last year. This review is not just because she did not answer any of my questions, it's mainly because I told her about my painful periods and painful sex and fatigue and wanted her to do/prescribe an ultrasound for me for further study. She refused and ignored all my concerns. Now, I have been diagnosed with severe endometriosis and my current dr. is surprised how she wasdid not even prescribed at least an ultrasound. I never forgive Dr. Lantry. I went to her because I had HMO insurance, and my doctor referred me to her. If you are in the same situation, avoid going to her.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Lantry to anyone. For starters, she has the rudest front office staff ever. I have called with emergency vaginal bleeding and they deliberately hung up the phone. Siamarra and Melissa, all I can say is, karma is a ***ch. One day, when you have some serious gynecological issues,I hope you will be mistreated in the same exact fashion that you mistreat Dr. Lantry's patients. As for Dr. Lantry herself, she is just a money-loving doctor. She couldn't care less if you are bleeding unnecessarily. She will just look at you like, "So what?" Well, Dr. Lantry, I had a miscarriage because of your lack of care. I don't know what punishment life will give you, but know that you will deserve it, and it will hurt.

Appointment was cancelled that was made a month in advance. Then told nothing available for 2 months. Told they only go by the doctors availability at the time. Are you serious? Receptionist hung up on me when I tried to discuss this with her. Horrible service and will be going to another doctor who bothers to hire decent staff and stable as far as scheduling.

I received a direct referral notification for a well woman pap test, and I decided to schedule the appointment at Dr Lantry's office. This was an urgent appointment for me, as my insurance plan was about to change. I have had to remove abnormal cells in the past and when I scheduled I had not done a check-up in a while. I communicated this urgency to the office. The notice was valid for about 3 months. I called and the first available appointment was one month later. When it was close to the date, the doctor's office called and asked to reschedule me because the doctor was going to be out of town. The first time this happened I didn't mind because I figured an emergency can happen to anyone, but then they rescheduled me a second time, and then a third time. Every time they rescheduled, the same excuse was given, and the appointment got pushed a month later, until the referral expired and it was too late to get a new one. Very unprofessional doctor. I do not recommend.

Rude doctor, did not show any sign of interest.

Beware of this doctor she is a fraud! You don't believe me then you should experience her yourself.. Research ladies on who you want to deliver your baby. This doctor is horrible in every possible way. She doesn't care and doesn't have any bed side manners. She will never ask you questions and only spend less then 5 mins in the room with you. Ladies do your research before thinkin of having this cruel lady deliver your baby. She is always busy and out of town, she will try to make you get induce or c section just because she has plans and if you don't she will get mad. I was in labor while she sat there are yelled and argued with me. I don't even know how this lady is still doing this type of work if she is so un happy, I guess that's why she had to open that med spa to make extra money, oh and I been in the whole med spa industry for over 10 years and I would never come here to do any type of injections or lasers. I want to warn other girls out there so this doesn't happen to anyone… else

I chose Dr Lantry after reading as many reviews as possible. I had just moved to the area and didn't want to have to change doctors multiple times before finding a good one. I had hoped that the negative comments were not true, but it turns out that I should have heeded them. The wait is always aweful...it doesn't matter if you are there for an annual visit or because you are pregnant. And the staff is not good about communicating when Dr Lantry is running late. One time, I sat in a paper vest and lap cover for 45 minutes waiting. I definitely don't like the fact that the office uses one-size-fits-none paper "gowns" (it was really a vest). When I went in for my first pregnancy visit, Dr Lantry informed me that there was no heartbeat and that I could see if it would pass naturally or come in for her to help me pass it. That was IT for information. No mention of outpatient surgery. No real details on what to expect. No real information. Not having expected that outcome,… I definitely did not have any questions prepped, so was not as upfront with questions as I usually am. When I finally did have questions, I called in and was referred to a surly scheduling nurse who did not have any empathy for what I was going through and how many questions I had that I was getting answered off the internet because she wasn't giving my any helpful answers. When I went in for my pre-op appointment, I stopped by the office so I could try to talk to anyone about the procedure I was about to have. Again, the surly scheduling nurse was presented. She informed me that she had told me everything I needed to know in a phone conversation on such-and-such a date. I did not appreciate the tone or unhelpfulness at all. I finally asked if there was anyone available who could explain what was going to happen as I still had questions and had never had to go through this before. A very nice nurse took pity on me and sat down to talk to me. Then on the day of my outpatient surgery, I never did see Dr Lantry. She called me 10 minutes after my scheduled start time to see if I had any questions (really, something that should have been asked far sooner). By that point, everyone else had made sure I had the information I needed. I don't need a feel-good experience from my OBGYN, but I do need to know that I can trust them and that I am not just another patient in a long line of patients. Dr Lantry's bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. Every time I talked to her, it felt like she was afraid to get too close to me (she literally went to the far corner of the room on several occasions) and I don't think I ever saw her smile or take even 2 minutes to talk to me like a human being who might be feeling scared or depressed or happy or any normal emotion. I am in the process of finding another OBGYN and hope to have a better experience.

My appointment was at 1:00 PM and I was out of the office at 3:00 PM. This is how long it took for a 5 min. papsmear. My experience was very unpleasant. When I first entered the office there was a very strong smell of food. The staff was rude. I had to seat there with a paper gown in a cold room for 40 min. Nobody even bothered to offer a blanket. Thank god I have to deal with them again in a year.

Very unpleasant front office staff, the girl seemed spaced out and rude! Waited on exam table with close off on paper gown for 45 min, Doctor came in without a smile on her face and without an apology to make me wait! Minimum conversation was exchanged( thank God I have no major complaints) she left the room and last words were i will see you in one year!Ya right...!!!! Very cold and unpleasant experience.
