Dr. Seth Howard Lichtenstein, MD

What a waste of a perfectly good afternoon. Not only was I questioned as to why I was even there, but the entire appointment was basically a scolding of where everything else went wrong in my care. Well when were your 7 other doctors following your CVA going to do something? You aren’t working? Absolutely nobody from neurology told you not to. These were just a few of the conversations in the VERY brief time I was in the room with this jerk. I was referred from the hospital following my medical mishap and it took MONTHS to get an appointment to be spoken to and treated like this. Let’s just say if I have to stay with this practice, I will INSIST on seeing ANYONE else. If you get scheduled with this man, RUN!

I have never encountered a more rude and disrespectful doctor in my life! He walked into the room with arrogance and let it shine the entire appointment! He clearly didn't want to hear anything I wanted to express about my mother's symptoms and certainly wouldn't allow me the time. He only wanted yes or no answers. I wanted to get up and walk out with my mom within minutes of the appointment. He questioned why we were there to begin with, but yet wouldn't allow me time to explain concerns I had for my mother's health. Her health is complicated and I was hoping a neurologist might be able to help us sort some things out. Based on other reviews, I'm not alone. If this is what JWM stands for, then don't waste your time. It took months to get an appointment and I walked away with zero help!

Completely rude and arrogant and incompetent. Doesn’t listen to patients. Don’t come to him expecting to be able to talk about anything without him brushing your concerns aside or him gaslighting you into thinking you’re lying and nothing can be done. Don’t lose hope. See another neurologist because this guy is an absolute old arrogant d*ckhead. Tried mentioning a mental health condition when he asked my patient history and immediately cut me off mid-sentence and said I don’t deal with that stuff. I actually started crying. He reads questions off of a screen like a robot and lacks any sort of compassion or empathy for his patients. He doesn’t want to know about anything you’re dealing with except the questions he asks. You can’t ask him questions or mention any symptoms. I knew from the minute he walked in that he didn’t give a crap and was in it for himself. He shouldn’t even have a medical license. Complete waste of time and money. Got nothing done, no answers. It’s sad. Seriously,… listen to these reviews from everyone!

Dr. Seth Litchenstein is the worst Dr./ person I have ever met. He don't care about nothing you have to say just what he believes is wrong with you. He cuts you off while your talking,it's one thing to be blunt and to the point,but he could careless about me. Rude is an understatement, very very arrogant and told me to lose weight thats what was contributing to my headaches,but I'm no way overweight unlike himself! I'm appalled he is a Dr. I was treated so bad by this man I was so upset I almost had a panic attack. Don't leave him no messages to get back to you because he's a doctor not a receptionist, even after the mess he put me on caused me to fall and have to go to ER he was not one bit concerned , I have Intracranial Hypertension of the brain, I have swelling of brain and 2 little to no flow in 2 blood vessels of my brain,but you know he doesn't care.......He Sucks and he need to lower that arrogance and start treating patients like we mean something, like he took a oath to care… and treat his patients with compassion, listening to their needs,finding the correct diagnosis and get treated with correct medications.

Very rude and doesn't listen to what you have to say.saw him twice and both times I wished I didn't. Not a people person.i will never refer him or see him again.

No nonsense, but straight to the point with quick diagnosis.

I have been trying to figure out why I keep having these seizure-like episodes. I have been seeing a cardiologist and Dr. Lichtenstein. After one visit and $400 later, he had ordered a range of tests: a 30 minute EEG, a 24 hour EEG, and an MRI of my head. After this was all finished, I found that the 24 hour EEG came back as abnormal and showed signs of trauma. I was told that the MRI disproved the abnormal reading. Since then, I have had another episode. The doctor in the ER told me to follow up with both the cardiologist and with Dr. Lichtenstein. I messaged him through the patient portal and was told that there was no need to follow up with him. He was not rude about it, but he did not seem like he wanted to help. I cannot recommend him to anyone. The associates in the office are okay but Seth is not the doctor for you. The unfortunate part was that I was referred by UPMC's find a doctor service. I have seen comments about how rude he is and about how he seems to not listen to what… people have to say. I really cannot say anything positive about him. I wish I could get a refund for this because they did not really help figure out anything.

Although my first impression (first appt) was that Dr Lichtenstein does not have the greatest bedside manner, I am learning that it does not matter, nor is my first impression entirely accurate. You are paying the doctor to figure out how to resolve your problem. After 40+ years of migraines, this is the first doctor I’ve had in 3 states that has found me a viable diagnosis and treatment plan. With Dr Lichtenstein, the key as a patient is to answer his questions and provide the least amount of extraneous information. If you want a chummy fellow, then he’s not a good fit. If you want a solutution to your problem (esp if you suffer from headaches) then he’s your guy

It's so sad that a doctor like this is allowed to work at all. He completely missed my Parkinson. I went to another doctor in the same building who caught it right away. What a arrogant incompetent.

I work in the medical field and I am amazed that people want hours of Dr's time when they're scheduled for 1/2 hour. And most times, they want the Dr to verify what they've read online. Waste of Dr's time! I love Dr Seth and my seizures are controlled. And most Dr's who don't have a fuzzy, warm bedside manner are the best ones out there. Get off the online self diagnosis trip, and let him be the great Dr he is. Thank you
