Dr. Shaena Hayden Blevins, MD

She is the best doctor of any kind I have ever used. She listens, she responds to my needs, she is kind. I have recommended her to multiple people that suffer from migraines.

The neurologist we used recently retired. Bad experience trying to obtain recommended doctor. Dr. Blevins was recommended, so I called her office to schedule an appointment. I asked if she was accepting new patients, and was told yes. I then tried to make an appointment. Once I explained our neurologist retired, I was told she was not accepting transfer of care appointments. She would only see new patients that have NEVER seen a neurologist. I never got upset or loud, but simply questioned the appointment clerk, asking what the difference is, as they are both new patients to her? She said Dr. Blevins says she will not accept transfer of care patients. I explained and questioned, a transfer of care patient is still a new patient to her, and would be her patient from then on, so what is the difference? I was transferred to someone else to answer my questions, which I repeated, and was given the same answers. I told the lady that it sounded as though Dr. Blevins just wanted to… be able to make money on all of the expensive tests and diagnosis procedures up front, instead of accepting a patient that already had tests done and a diagnosis. They repeatedly tried to get me to either make an appointment with one other doctor in their group (who was the ONLY ONE out of all of them, that would take a transfer of care patient). I guess she didn’t like my comment, because in a stern tone, I was told I had the choice to book an appointment with that one doctor in their group (which had bad reviews), or I could call 2 other doctors, that were in other groups in town. They never gave me a real reason why, just basically refused a patient needing a doctor. This type thing makes you realize what (not all), but most doctors are really in the medical field for - not to help people, but for money or the title.

She is great doctor. She is very smart and good bedside manner.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Blevins and I was a nervous wreck. Just my personality....I absolutely adore her, and I am very picky with doctors since my career was in the medical field. She made me feel at ease, took plenty of time to address my concerns. Feel so good that I have finally found a neurologist that I feel is on my team!

Dr. Blevins is an excellent Neurologist. She's very thorough, very personable and she cares. She doesn't rush you through, like your on an assembly line. My only complaint is that she doesn't come to Blarsviile once a week any more, but she's worth the trip across Blood Mountain for the knowledge and quality. I would recommend her to anyone.

She has been right there for me since day one of my MS diagnosis. She is compassionate, understanding and takes time with me at every appointment. Dr. Blevins is wonderful!!!!!

Dr. Blevins is the neurologist I have searched for. She is not only very knowledgable, but also sympathetic to my condition. It is VERY hard to find a neurologist who understands just how painful trigeminal neuralgia can be! She sees me whenever I need to be. She is a true Godsend to me. I would recommend no other.
