Dr. Shaida Khan, DO

Dr Khan is the best, I have had tests and new medicine that I wasn't receiving elsewhere. She examines all of my symptoms, lab results, MRI results. She is very compassionate and has my best interest in mind. She takes the time to listen and explain what the next step will be. I moved in 2015 but will make the 3 hour drive to see Dr. Khan. Dr Khan's staff is on top on everything with meds and always answer any questions.

I'd seen several other neurologists and neurosurgeons prior to Dr. Khan, and none of them were able to diagnose my condition. I provided her with all of the same information that I gave everyone else. She asked if I'd mind if they ran some blood tests, to which I consented. Within an hour she had a treatment plan, that could provide relief for what she suspected was an ultra-rare condition I was experiencing. After 2 days of the prescribed treatment I was able to start lifting my fingers, lifting my wrist and raising my lower arm again. While I have to maintain treatment every two weeks at this point, without Dr Khan's experience, knowledge, attentiveness, and attention to detail my life would be entirely disrupted. I would have had to sell my farm/ranch, get rid of my dogs and move into the city where I would have had to have 24-hour assistance eventually. Dr Khan changed the course of my life and I will be forever indebted to her.

Dr Khan was professional! She seemed a little programed to me! I didn't agree with her decisions & I can't say I'm any better for seeing Dr Khan!

I have visited what are regarded as the best neuromuscular specialists in my city, state, region and country. Dr. Khan is the cream of the crop. You will not find a doctor who has better bedside manner, attentive listening skills, knowledge and acumen. She will look you in the eyes and digest what is being said, before offering her assessment, which is the perfect blend of groundedness, confidence and feminine grace. She is up to date on the latest medical trends, and is willing to think outside the box to explore patient solutions, when most other medical professionals prefer to kick the can down the road to someone else. She truly cares about her patients. I recall after our first consult, I got a call at 5 pm. It was Dr. Khan on her cell phone, who had been thinking about my case after my appointment ended, while on her drive home. What doctor does that?! I'm telling you ... it brought me to tears that she was willing to advocate for me when no one else would.

I have been Dr. Khan's patient for over 2 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and extensively examines all of the symptoms, lab results, etc. to establish the correct diagnoses. She is very compassionate and always has the patient’s best interest in mind. She is highly responsive, open to questions, and easy to speak with. Even though I moved away from Dallas, I continue to make the 3-hour drive to seek her care. I highly recommend Dr. Khan if you are in need of a physician specializing in neurology, autoimmune neurology, and neuromuscular disorders.
