Dr. Shan-Ren Zhou, MD

The doctor is very friendly however, does not spend much time with this patient. Seems like it could be difficult to really provide great care so briefly. Terrible trying to get an appointment set up and never get calls returned.

Terrible! Stay away! If I could give negative stars I would. The staff don't know what is going on, the doctor is rude, in a hurry and can't speak English. I was supposed to have an EMG test. I have had 2 previous ones, so I know what's involved. This guy obviously didn't bother learning how to do them! He faked it - no other explanation for what he did, or rather didn't do. Now I have to go to another neurologist, since I won't be able to rely on anything this fraudster says.

I have had the pleasure of Dr. Zhou's expertise since he started his practice in Hermitage, over 18yrs. You can depend on accurate, thorough care! Quite trustworthy, honest care!!

Staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. HIPPA violations galore. Charges an exorbitant amount for tests that are not performed. Office is dirty and sheets are not cleaned before next app't. Cannot understand Dr. very well and he does not explain what he is doing or why. BEWARE!

I was called back to a room after a 25 min. wait, but the staff didn't tell Dr. Zhou I was in the room, after an hour in the room my husband stepped in the hall one of the staff said 'Oh I forgot to tell him you were there' when she did right away he came and was very nice, ran the test on me I needed and was very easy to talk to, I really liked him, when I went back to my other Doctor that sent me there, my nurse called for the results , the staff member at Dr. Zhou office said she would tell him we needed the results, we waited, she called again and came in and told me she had called again with the same answer, I told her about Dr. Zhou staff and she said ok I will take care of this , my Doctor called and got him right on the phone, He got my results and was able to run the tests on me., the problem is not Dr. Zhou, it's his staff. Dr. Zhou is a good Doctor . His staff , nice but slow., but if you have a long wait maybe it would be best to talk to the doctor about it. Again, he is a… good Doctor. I would go back to him if I needed to but I would talk to him about his staff.

He prescribed a drug I told him three times I could not take but when i went to pick up the anti viral there was the prescription filled for the one I could not take. I called his office and told them about joints getting stiff and suicidal thoughts because of other prescription he prescribed. It's. been over two days and never heard back. They also charged me 550 for testing and they did none. He did take a pin and poked me twice on one arm then the other arm. I wonder if that was the 550 dollar test and no results. I am going somewhere else, Zhou does not care.

I saw Dr Zhou for about 3 years, for MS. During that time, the waiting time was always at least an hour. The waiting room was always packed. After the first 2 appointments in which I got an MRI and spinal tap to double-check my diagnosis, everything changed. When I got in to see him, he would say "Hi, how are you? How are your kids?" Friendly enough, but then he would proceed to sit down and start using his computer. I'd sit there and wait for him to finish and get on with the appt. After about 15- 20 minutes he would stand up, tell me he wants to see me again in 6 months, and I'd be at a total loss of words, totally dumbfounded that he never did an exam or asked me if I have any new symptoms, etc... I have MS, I'm at a loss for words to begin with, but when a doctor doesn't help me out at all, and let me know what to expect, what symptoms I'm having that relate to MS, etc. I have to find a new doctor. And that's what I had to do. My doctor has to care.

I have carried my mother to see Dr, Shou several times and he is a very outstanding Dr.
