Works for the insurance companies.

Dr. Vervoort is contracted by insurance companies to deny workman comp claims. He does not care about the well being of the patients. He knows that if he denies the injury is work related that the insurance companies will continue to use him. So don't be surprised if you are sent to him by the insurance company for his "unbiased" opinion!

I have been treating with Dr. VerVoort for about a year and a half for a work related serious injury. Overall I have been very pleased with the treatment that I have recieved from him. He is very good about keeping my medications filled and is very cautious as to using Narcotics or addictive medications. My experience has found him to be extremely fair in my treatment and even with my MMI rating. I will continue to treat with him even if I settle my claim as I trust his opinion.

If you got hurt at work, avoid this man. In my opinion he has to be the worst doctor I've ever been to. If your Work Comp. find your own Doctor. The insurance company have these guys do what they want. Unless you lost a limb, they don't care if you ever get better. I went to 2 before I went to him. They told me what was wrong, then I see Mr. Vervoort and he claims I'm basically faking it. My follow up visit he gives me an ultimatum that he want to clear me or he is going to file some form that will follow me the rest of my career. No company will hire me, all while he's acting like he's really concerned with my well being. In my opinion, avoid this man.

Dr. Shane Vervoort works for the insurance company. Beware, he does not care for the well being of his patients.

Dr. VerVoort helped me a lot. He is an amazing doctor and an amazing man. I look up to him. He not only helped me as a doctor but also helped me to be a better human being.

No nurse, creepy office and demeanor. Could not help me but had to continue going back to him due to wk. comp. injury. Finally, just decided to tolerate the pain rather than go back.

My father went to this man and he told me that his hands are twisted, is in a wheelchair, the examination table was low to the floor, etc. Should this man really be practicing medicine? He tried to give my dad pills to solve his back problem after poorly examining him. From what my father says, he struggled to examine him the whole time. There was no nurse in the room and only a secretary at her desk outside. This makes me weary of this man and with other reviews, he needs to up his standards. Overall this man has received a VERY poor review.

No nurses present during exam. Was wanting to give me pills to solve the problem. Very "shoddy' office. Office staff looked more like hired escorts that a professional medical staff.

Dr. VerVoort is FANTASTIC!!! If it weren't for him, I'd still be in excruciating pain! I never had to wait more than a few minutes, and scheduling appointments was easier than with any other office I've ever dealt with! The staff is friendly and put me at ease. Dr. VerVoort took the time to question me very thoroughly and examined me in a very professional manner. He ordered an MRI to make sure there weren't underlying issues that were going to cause me further problems. His diagnosis was spot on! He sent me to PT and made sure that I got the treatment I needed. He never pushed me to take narcotics for the pain or muscle spasms, understanding that I still needed to function in my dad-to-day life with minimal side effects from the meds I needed to make it bearable, which I GREATLY appreciated; but he also made sure that I had stronger meds available for use in case of flare-ups and/or inability to sleep because of not being able to be comfortable. His follow-up visits continue to be… very thorough. I am so thankful that I was lucky enough to be referred to him!!! He's the BEST, and I would refer anyone who is serious about getting better - as best as possible given limitations that aren't surmountable - to go see him! WARNING: If you're just looking for a pill doctor to feed your addiction, don't bother! This guy is a REAL DOCTOR who cares about his patients and wants to help you heal!!!
