Dr. Shanna Jean Brown, MD

Dr. Shanna Brown is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has dedicated 18 years to treating eye conditions and helping patients preserve their vision. She earned her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine & Public Health and completed her residency training at the University of Texas School of Medicine. Dr. Brown is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to care for a diverse patient population across South Texas.

Dr. Brown practices at multiple Gulf Coast Eye Institute locations throughout Texas, including McAllen, Weslaco, Falfurrias, Harlingen, and Laredo, as well as San Antonio. She is affiliated with Cook Children's Medical Center. Her expertise includes treating cataracts and dry eye conditions. Dr. Brown performs comprehensive eye exams, dilated eye exams, and retinal imaging to help diagnose and monitor various eye conditions.
