Dr. Sharon Ellins Ross, MD

I have been seeing Doctor Ross for approximately 20yrs. She takes time to listen, very thorough, compassionate, will insist on checking changes, however insignificant it might be. Often times turns out to be life saving.

If I could give Dr. Ross more stars I would! She is caring, compassionate, thorough and so responsive! I love her and her staff! Highly recommend!

Dr. Ross meets every expectation . She is extremely knowledgeable, makes patient feel comfortable and eagerly responds to questions. Beautiful environment and efficient, friendly, intelligent staff.

Dr Ross came recommended by another doctor whose opinion I value. She is very very knowledgeable with an excellent bedside manner. She explains everything thoroughly. Answered every question. She made many suggestions for a situation I had. I cannot imagine a better gynecologist. Yes, the practice is very large with 4 offices and multiple partners. The phone system itself does not work well. Too difficult to get through to anyone. That should be fixable, though costly. For my first appointment it was almost enough to push me to find a different doctor. But it was worth the trouble once I met Dr Ross. She is caring and brilliant so I am very happy I persevered. Maybe one day they will simplify their phone system.

I like Dr.Ross very much. However, it is very difficult to reach her office. I called and was connected to the Gardens office and then I was disconnected. The wait for someone to talk to is excessive. I waited over 5 minutes for someone to pick up the phone to make an appointment in the Gardens office. "please continue to hold someone will be right with you" I was finally told to leave me name and number, the reason for my appointment and told the operator would call me back.

Dr. Ross is very compassionate and that makes difficult news and decisions easier to manage. She takes the time to listen to patients and that makes all the difference. Most importantly, she is a great clinician and her diagnosis are accurate. Other inconveniences like waiting and staff lack of refinement are, for me, the background noise, not the center stage.

On two occasions I waited for the doctor undressed in the exam room for 30 minutes. Huge practice - rude staff - feels like patient overbooking. Will go elsewhere in the future.

She is my favorite Gynecologist of all time. She makes you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation and knows the score. I would recommend her to a friend.

After waiting an hour past my appt time, I left to go back to the office (work). I let the staff know on my way out that although I sat read for the doctor (undressed), she never came in. No one bothered to update me either. Told them I had to leave. Expected a follow up call from them to reset, but that never happened either. Eerie, considering they are supposed to be "caring" for and about patients. Good thing it was nothing urgent.

She is absolutely the best doctor EVER!!! She actually delivered me and was my moms doctor 21 years ago. She is VERY caring and compassionate and she has a way of explaining "doctor stuff" in a way that normal people can understand. I have moved to Georgia and come back once a year to visit my parents and always schedule an appointment to see her then because she is just that wonderful. She's great! You'll love her
