Dr. Sharon Helena Travers, MD

My children have seen a lot of physicians as my eldest was a NICU baby. It is hard to come by doctors like Dr. Travers. She returns calls herself, always takes her time answering questions, does demand an apt when she can reach you via phone, bonds with the child, has a natural caring and patient demeanor and of course is skilled in her field. We have been patients for 8 years and the experience is consistent.

Dr. Travers has been there since the beginning of our son's diagnosis. She is always very thurough and does her best to answer our questions. We would not take our son to any other doctor. She follows up with labs by phone in person, I have never had a nurse contact me. Always Dr. Travers herself. Even if she is at home.

Dr. Travers has been treating my daughter for growth hormone deficiency for 12 years now. She is thorough and meticulous in her examinations. She seems genuinely interested in my daughter's progress. There are specialists much closer to where we live, but it is worth the trip to Denver for my daughter to be seen by Dr. Travers.

I was appauled with the Doctor's beside manner with my teenaged daughter, her knowledge was minimal on what we were talking about although I was told to see and Endrocronologist, and most of all she lacked the ability to see my daughter as a whole person - be caustios when visiting her.

This doctor could not diagnose my son, when blood levels where high she said they were not, when she couldn't find a problem she wanted to follow up 6 months later, but could not say what was wrong, left her office saw a different doctor at pres. st. lukes hospital in denver and had a diagnosis in two weeks this includes waiting time on test results. would not see this doctor if our lives depended on it.
