Dr Shawn Jehan Khan, MD

It is truly a pity that Dr. Khan has retired....again....He took good care of both my mom and my dad as they both have bad glaucoma that was under treated by other doctors in the area. Dr Khan is super busy but always made us feel like he had all day to spend with us. My parents absolutely adore him. He has a way with people. With a combination of drops and laser we were able to avoid having the major eye surgery that was recommended by previous doctors. It would be really great if he came out of retirement again as he is a great physician and great person.

Dr. Khan is exceptional. He diagnosed my glaucoma after 4 other ophthalmologists missed it. He spent more time with me than all the other Drs combined. I only wish that I had come to see him from the beginning. After SLT laser with him I dont need drops and my glaucoma is controlled. I wont ever go to anyone else. He is terrific. I would recommend to my best friend.

The two negative reviews below are not accurate. I know this because I used to work at the office that Dr. Khan practiced at AND he has also examined my eyes. He is very sweet, thorough and knowledgeable. The person who says all of their Drs contradicted Dr Khan made a big scene in the office in front of everybody because they couldnt believe that they had been mistreated for so many years. Dr. Khan is a real glaucoma specialist and they had been seen by quacks at another practice who only pretended to be glaucoma specialists. They came to us for a second opinion and Dr Khan told them they did in fact have glaucoma and really needed a lower pressure. He offered them drops or laser like he does for ALL his patients. They threw a fit and asked why they had never been offered that before and he stated that he could not speak for the other Drs they had seen before. So they called him arrogant. Whatever! He is a great Dr and sees all the crap that the other Drs in town misdiagnose. As for… the other negative review...well the patient cant even spell laser correctly enough said. That is probably one of the many patients who got angry because their insurance put the cost of the laser (not lazer) to their deductible. How is that Dr Khan's fault? There has never been a disaster from his glaucoma lasers becauase SLT laser is risk free. Google it. Shame that people are saying stupid negative things. They should be happy to see a really good and legit glaucoma specialist. Dr Khan recommends laser a lot so that patients dont have to buy and use drops and so they can avoid surgery. He is one of the best Drs I have been to. His tube shunt surgeries are amazing with great results and nobody else can do them that good. He retired from ophthalmology and came back to work one day a week to help glaucoma patients. They are lucky to have him. Those negative reviews are bull.

We decided to check out Dr. Khan after reading his ads in the Banner Press. My husband and I are getting on in years and we are getting tired of driving to Houston every year for our eye exams. Dr. Khan was amazing! He diagnosed eye problems that the Houston doctors had been missing or at least not telling me about. He spent a lot of time with me and my husband and his staff were very professional and courteous. No other office in Brenham has these qualities and that's why we have been driving to Houston...but not anymore. Highly recommend to patients of all ages. Great experience!

Dr. Khan and his staff are very caring, thorough and attentive. Unlike other doctors who have brushed off my complaints, Dr. Khan and his staff treated me with respect and listened to all of my complaints and addressed them all. I will be bringing all of my family members back for appointments here. The equipment seems very advanced and the office is very clean and nicely decorated. Front desk girl is very nice. Highly recommend!

Dr.Khan, his wife Lisa and his assistant Shannon are a true blessing for Brenham. For years we have longed for a top notch ophthalmologist and now finally have one. Dr. Khan is kind, caring and truly cares about me and my family. We will not be driving to Bryan anymore for our appointments. Highly recommend.
