Can I leave 6 stars? Dr. Qureshi (and his entire staff) is simply extraordinary. His professionalism, care, knowledge, and attentiveness are all unparalleled. And that's before I even get to his skill in the OR. I had spent 3+ years with a herniated disc, consulting expert after expert, with no resolution. A mere matter of weeks after meeting Dr. Qureshi, I had a full diagnosis, a plan of attack, and a successful surgery. My advice: If you have a nagging back injury that is hampering your quality of life, give Dr. Qureshi a call. You'll be glad you did.

I’m not a doctor but I’ve studied at the best universities for science and worked with both doctors and researchers. Dr. Qureshi is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable and skilled in spine surgery. Not only that, he emanates a genuine warmth, compassion, humility and integrity not often associated with surgeons of such high caliber. I wish I was referred to him before I had my cervical spine surgeries done by other surgeons since those necessitated revision surgeries. Dr Qureshi performed a far left lateral lumbar microdiscectomy on me. This particular herniation is often a missed diagnosis by other surgeons unless examined by a meticulous, keen, trained eye such as Dr Q’s or continuous MRI imaging slices of the lumbar spine are done. He used an innovative XLIF approach. Incision was barely visible. I looked like I had a minor papercut in side of my torso only. I was walking immediately upon rising from surgery and my lumbar radiculopathy and paresthesia pain completely vanished. I… was dancing and doing yoga within the postop week. I’m able to do split kicks and run again, with zero pain. Everyone thinks he performed a miracle. I was blessed to be referred to him. He has my full endorsement. I’m sorry to read a few reviews below that a few are in pain. I hope they too find relief. Xoxo

He will say that you have an arthritis and not his problem

As a fellow physician, I spent a lot of time researching different neuro and ortho surgeons in the hopes of finding someone thoughtful and skilled. I can't express enough how glad I am that I chose him. His skill is unparalleled, his ability to explain the diagnostic and therapeutic picture is impressive without once feeling like he was strained for time, and his bedside manner is confident yet warm. 2 years out of surgery, my back is still 100% pain free and I'm fully functional in every capacity (after almost 2 decades of pain and limitation)!

Doctor Qureshi seemed good at first. I have had over 20 surgeries due to a driver hitting me. I am an athlete. He put screws and rods in my back and neck. He was at Mt.sinai at the time. I have it on good information, very good, that he only got elevated to head at HSS because of Alfonse D’Amato owed him something and D’Amato is wired to bully everyone. It was not on merit or skill, from what I know. I cannot move my neck or back, and have tried to tough it out. Everyone who knows me thinks I am in great shape but I live in perpetual pain, which has gotten unbearable lately. His office wouldn’t even call me back to schedule an appointment regarding my screwed and rods, despite my pain. I have a tough time taking care of my young children, and I fear he messed up my screws as he said another HSS doctor did when he replaced them while he was at Mt. Sinai. If you USE THIS DOCTOR do so at your own peril as I can barely move and I am a total jock!

Dr. Qureshi has been my doctor for several years and has helped me recover from spine surgery. Qureshi is an extraordinary person and medical doctor.

I cannot recommend at all, i have been more pain than before my acdf nearly two years ago . I barely got to see the doctor once my surgery was done. Follow ups were mainly with his PA who never wanted to hear about my pain or never knew how to handle it . My physical therapist told me after two years ITS TIME go for a second opinion as your spasm and tightness is abnormal. Three specialist opinions all said unequivocally I had a failed fusion plus adjacent disc segment disease as a result of my surgery on three levels. My fusion was originally for one level.! While this could happen to anyone, it's disheartening that this Dr told me I was fine when I wasn't. See this doctor at your peril because if it doesn't work they don't want to know, don't care and you are most definitely on your own. Facing my revision surgery in less than a month -I truly wish I hadn't listened to those that recommended me in the first place .

Sufferered with intense pain for 8 months! 5 weeks post surgery, I am pain free.. unbelievable and liberating!

Dr. Qureshi is an excellent doctor and person. I felt very comfortable with him as he is extremely knowledgable and professional. Dr. Qureshi treated me with respect and deep concern for my health problems which he helped me overcome. I recommend Dr. Sheeraz Qureshi wholeheartedly.
