Dr. Sheila Debbie Pongnon, MD

This gynecologist doesn't care about her patients, all she wants is the Money! And as a healthcare worker myself, I find this unethical! I have been a patient of hers for 3 years and she still refuses to call in a prescription for a minor issue, which she has treated me for numerous times, without a video call visit ?!?!?!!! So she can bill my insurance, what good doctor does this???!! I'm so happy that I have an upcoming appointment with a new gynecologist, because I can no longer continue to feel mistreated by my current doctor! This doctor had so much attitude, and has even rolled her eyes at me while I was expressing my gynecological concerns!

I will never go back there again!! Never!! I went in after I got a positive pregnancy test to have my pregnancy confirmed. The PA came in and told me that the positive line took so long to come up and it took 3 or 4 people to see the line, she said she couldn’t say congratulations and asked if I had a baby with a line so light in the past. I felt major shade coming from her. My husband and my son was in the room with me the proceeded to pull of a speculum and I asked if I was getting a Pap smear and she said no I have to check you for infection! I said ok but I would like my husband and son to step outside. She didn’t even ask if I was comfortable with my husband and child in the room of if I wanted them to leave. She then proceeded to swab my vagina very rough! I was discouraged and humiliated. She suggested that I have my hcg levels draw to see if they were rising so I did. They schedule me for a ultrasound in 2 weeks. I called to complain about the service I received and spoke Dr.… Sheila she said that she can’t tell whether the pregnancy is good or bad and to have my levels drawn again because they were low. So I had them drawn again and she scheduled me for another appointment. So weeks go by without a positive pregnancy confirmation. I’m left wondering if this is a good pregnancy or a bad one. Well, it came time for my ultrasound and the ultrasound tech said that I was measuring at 5 weeks and it just a yolk sac. That triggered me because I’m supposed to be 6 weeks and it didn’t add up. So when Dr. Sheila came into see me she confirmed what the ultrasound tech said that it was a yolk sac and no heart beat and she can’t say if it’s a good or bad pregnancy. She said I was 5 weeks and it looks like the beginning of a pregnancy. So I was under the impression that this pregnancy wasn’t going well. 2 days later I started bleeding heavy and passed a big clot the size of the plam of my hand. I thought I was having a miscarriage, I thought because the ultrasound said 5 weeks that my baby stopped growing and died. After all the measurements were off and no one at the doctors office can tell me if it were a good or bad pregnancy. I grieve the loss of my baby and got some rest. The next day my husband took me to the hospital. I told them I had a miscarriage and that I was measuring at 5 weeks and I should have been 6 weeks and 4 days by now. They took me to ultrasound to confirm the miscarriage. The doctors said I was 6 weeks and 5 days with a heart beat of 146 pm! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I wasn’t under the impression since the beginning of my pregnancy that there may be something wrong, I felt what Dr. Sheila and her office was convincing me to feel uncertainty. Just 4 days early I was told I was 5 weeks and just a yolk sac and no heart beat. I was told that they can’t say if it was a good or bad pregnancy and now I had a doctor at the hospital confirm that I was 6 weeks 5 days pregnant with a heartbeat!! How did the baby grow a week and 5 days in just 4 days??? Either I’m having a super baby or Dr. Sheila’s office is the worst office ever. They discouraged me. They made me believe something about my pregnancy that wasn’t true. Their negative outlook on my pregnancy convinced me to trust their knowledge and I did and I thought my baby was dead at 5 weeks and I miscarried because we couldn’t say if it were a good or bad pregnancy. As a black woman I specifically chose this office at a safe place where I felt I would be respected and understood but it be your own people. This office is a business and not a place for women to feel safe and confident. I will never recommend this office to anyone.

This doctor was condescending and quite rude. Worst experience of my life.

I waited for almost two hours in an exam room to see the doctor for all of 3 maybe 4 minutes. She did not anwser all of my questions and was very rushed. I also thought the examining room was dirty. There were used speculums in the sink. I wish I walked out.

Dr. Pognon is a wonderful OB/GYN because she takes the time to truly listen to her patients and any concerns that they may have! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

I was totally satisfied with the service provided and would recommend Dr Pongong to others.

Entering the building and just outside of the suite is a bit cold and not very comforting. As soon as I walked into Dr. Pongnon office the whole setting was Inviting and Welcoming. It changed my mood instantly. Front desk was well put together very neat and super clean. However the receptionist could've have been more upbeat with a more positive attitude. The exam rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The MA on duty was nice and polite. Dr. Pongnon was also very nice and professional. Her office very new so I know there will be more improvements over the course of time. I overall had a great experience and will have no problem to recommend people to her.

An amazing GYN. Always very reliable, I would defiantly recommend friends and family members to her.

Super professional and loved that she explained everything to me
