Dr. Sheldon Jay Freedman, MD

You're not in good hands here when you need help. I visited Dr. Sheldon Freedman, MD only once, and during that appointment I felt well taken care of. Dr. Freedman was friendly, professional, and appeared to be competent. After that visit, I needed additional testing by an endocrinologist. Unfortunately, despite waiting for approximately six weeks, I still had not received the required referral. Only after repeated follow-up requests was the referral finally provided. Following further communication problems with Dr. Freedman's office staff, I was surprised to receive a certified letter informing me that I was being dismissed as a patient. The letter stated that Dr. Freedman would no longer provide my urologic care and that I should find another physician within 30 days. The end result was extremely disappointing. I paid approximately $300 out of my own pocket for a medical visit that did not move my treatment forward in any way. Instead, I spent weeks dealing with administrative… delays, poor communication, and ultimately being dismissed as a patient. To be clear, I have no complaints about Dr. Sheldon Freedman personally. He was courteous, kind, and competent during my appointment. My experience was negatively affected by what I believe were serious administrative and communication failures within his office. I strongly suspect Dr. Freedman may not even be aware of how this situation was handled but of course, I cannot know that for certain.

Very weird guy. He changed since I met him 13 years ago . He used to be a friendly and very good spoken , he explained...he absorbed the patients for a retired doctor. Since then he changed.

Dr. Freedman is very strange. Probably competent but maybe not. I had to wait 30 minutes or more every time. Mostly 60 minutes. Just such a poor experience that I can not recommend him at all.

I wish I had taken time to do more research and read all the accurate negative reviews! I have never in my life experienced such horrible treatment from a doctor like I did with Dr. Freedman! Please stay away from him!

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! I wish I had read all the negative reviews before making an appointment, it would have saved me a lot of pain. This was the most horrible experience I've ever had in a Doctor's Office. Dr. Freedman has zero bedside manner!

Absolutely horrible experience with this doctor. 2 years ago I got a vasectomy because my wife has a medical condition and her doctors told us that it would be a huge risk on her health if she got pregnant again. A year and a half later, she gets pregnant. This office had me go get more tests done at Quest Diagnostics to see what’s going on. First test came back with “Rare Sperm” detected, which means, I guess, it’s a 1 and a hundred million chance she could get pregnant so they ask me to go back in for another test recently to double check and that test showed “Zero Sperm” detected. So, I call into the office to get some information on this because it doesn’t make sense and I asked to speak to the doctor. They said the doctor WON’T take phone calls from his patients and I would have to schedule an appointment and pay to see him. I paid the doctor for results and it obviously didn’t work and now I can’t get ahold of the doctor to discuss what is happening with these test. Is this a… joke? Absolutely absurd. The overall character and culture this office portrays is entirely disheartening. Very rude, condescending, and the people in back office answer the phones like they could careless about you. If you want to be treated with respect, this isn’t the place for you unfortunately.

I researched Urologists, their contributions to the medical field, and their achievements and decided to visit Dr. Freedman for my vasectomy. The office staff are the best people I have ever dealt with in the medical community, super friendly and accommodating and made me feel at ease. Dr. Freedmans explanations, bedside manner, and professionalism made the process as comfortable as it could be. I would highly reccomend this office, this staff, and above all this doctor!

Horrible Staff! The admin staff is so rude I would not ever recommend stepping foot in this office! Supposedly this guy is a great doctor but I wasn't able to meet the doctor because his staff was so rude I walked out. After waiting for over 45 mins past my appointment time, I asked how much longer the wait would be and the admin lady bit my head off and started blaming the doctor...and telling me to complain to the doctor is not her fault. They even took my copay and didn't return, to top it off!
