As a physician who works from a neuropsychiatric perspective, Dr Zablow is necessarily focused on efficient clinical diagnosis and evidence-based medical intervention. What impresses me about him is his commitment to his discipline and patients, and to honoring each equally. He's one of very few physicians of any kind that I've encountered who is so easy to talk with, and who is very good at explaining complex matters in plain language. As someone who works within the broad world of medicine, I've been very impressed with Dr Zablow's level of care.

I was a child when "Dr. Z" was recommended to my family. Not only did he hastily mis-diagnose me, but he prescribed me, at the age of 8, loads of serious medication. When my mother and I sat down with him to discuss my side effects other options to my current meds, he told me I needed to be locked in a mental institution! If you want to be disrespected, strung out on meds, and scarred for life, this man would LOVE to charge you for it.

If all you're looking for is prescription drugs without any hassle, then he's your man.

i was happy with my initial appt with dr zablow. i took my young daughter to him because she has been having problems i believed to be add or adhd. the doctor spent 45 min with us, taking a medical history and asking questions of both me and my daughter. i had already completed some behavior questionaires but he had me complete another one while in the office. he prescribed a drug for her that was not the strongest one out there, indicating he wanted to start small and work up. i think that is a thoughtful approach, not at all like the drug dealer the previous reviews make him out to be.

I left my final appointment with Dr. Zablow, CRYING & RUNNING to my car. I hardly ever cry! So, bullet points:- He is extremely hard to get a hold of; I forgot the time of an appointment and he never called back to tell me, so I missed my appointment.- He shows his frustration and irritation with patiens- He is not caring at all- He rushes through appointments, so you probably won't even get a proper diagnosis Full story:I agree with the person before me, he shuttles you in one door and out the other, calling the second patient in before he's even done with you. He doesn't listen, gives inconsistent diagnoses between one appointment and the next, and essentially throws crap-quality pills at you just to get you out the door.I'm a 24 year old female, was diagnosed by him for having anxiety and ADD. For my second appointment, I forgot the time, so called his number early in the morning the day of to find out. His bookeeper didn't call back until 3 days later! Finally after a series of bad… attempts (not at all facilitated by him and his "bookeeper"), I met with him in our last appointmet - where he made no effort to restrain himself from showing his irritation with me for missing/being late to the appointments. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! There is a reason I was there to see him, and he is supposed to help me with that, not make me feel 2 inches tall because of it. The appointment lasted all of 5 minutes, and when I stopped to ask him what he even thought was the issue with me - he diagnosed me as "depressed with ADD" - when he had initially said he doesn't believe I have depression! Ridiculous! I told him I wouldn't be needing another appointment.

Dr. Zablow's office is quick to get you an appointment and follow-ups. My son's appointments (including the initial one) lasted 5-10 minutes. He doesn't listen! We went to him for a second opinon after one psychologist prescribed a particular medication we were uncomfortable with. In our initial visit, he said he agreed with our concerns and that he wouldn't have prescribed that medication in our son's case. After a couple of months trying out what he prescribed (which wasn't working), he suggested we try the VERY SAME MEDICATION HE SAID HE WOULD NOT HAVE PRESCRIBED TO OUR SON! Every visit seems as if he's in a hurry. He doesn't ask many questions - just, "how have you been doing? any negative side effects? Okay, here's your refill prescription...see you next time." His office is even set up like an assembly line. You come in one door, wait a maximum of 5 minutes, go into his office for about 5 minutes, and go out another door while he brings in the next customer. What a… racket!
