Dr. Shelley Chernoff Kramer, PhD

She was very unprofessional, she wanted to get her points across and go off on tangents on things we weren't even talking about that had nothing to do with therapy for example went on talking for about 10 minutes about the importance of sunblock and how I should wear it and they should have free dispensers in bathrooms for people to use it. She would do that often and on my time (would end at the same time as usual even though she waisted time talking about her own agenda). I would talk about deep things with her but quickly learned I couldn't because in the middle of talking about my family and holding back tears, she stands up and turns her back to me and starts packing up her stuff, as I was still talking. She made me feel like she didn't care about what I had to say quite a few times and would easily be distracted and do things that were unprofessional like put her legs up on a chair across from her as we were still in session. I didn't feel comfortable opening up to her. Sometimes… she seemed pretty good at listening and semi good at validating feelings but for the most part I felt uncomfortable because of her unprofessional behaviors and that she had her own opinion that she would share about things and agenda.

Dr Kramer is a very compassionate and skilled therapist. She commutes, and l may wait at times, but it is a great opportunity to work with someone with her education and experience.
