Dr. Shelley Breene Susman, MD

I saw Dr Susman for the first few months of my first pregnancy. She seemed just fine EXCEPT for the fact that she & her billing person could not understand how to bill my insurance company. Cigna is a pretty major company and assured me that Dr Susman was in-network. Every other appointment I had with the doctor she would bring up the fact that we still needed to verify my insurance coverage. It's like we had to have the same conversation every other time I was there. I would remind her that everything was confirmed by her staff but then she would insist that she needed to re-confirm it. This added a tremendous amount of stress to my pregnancy. When I did some additional digging online I found that there were sanctions against her. These are part of the public record. If you choose Dr Susman you are going to find that her staff cannot keep things straight, she doesn't communicate well with them and she also has made some serious mistakes in the care of her patients.

I had Dr.Susman in 2008 for my first pregnancy. She is the most caring down to earth doctor around. She eased all my fears and was really there when I needed her the most. During my C-section she was even cracking jokes to take my mind off the pain with the spinal block. Sadly I moved to another city and changed insurance so I can no longer see her. I am pregnant with my second child and I so wish I was her patient again. I will recommend to everybody and anybody looking for a great OB/GYN.

I have never been to a more wonderful doctor's office. It's beautiful inside, it even smells good (should I mention the heated toilet seats in the bathroom???). ALL the staff are amazing, friendly, caring, professional, etc. They always know exactly who I am when I call. My cousin and a friend of mine both go here as well (one for prenatal care, the other for regular OBGYN stuff) and they both LOVE Dr. Susman and her office staff. I can't say enough great things about this place. I had to fight with my insurance over many phone calls and many days to switch over from another horrible OBGYN, and it was so worth the fight. I'll never go anywhere else!
