Dr. Shelly Rae Messer

Dr Messer delivered my baby in 2006. I remember it as a really great experience, and nothing but great things to say about her and the office. I admire her for taking good care of me~

Dr. Messer diagnsed my ovarian cancer and referred me to an oncologist in two visits. She was perceptive and insightful.

No part of my experience with this office has been pleasant. They make mistakes with the billing, lose my paperwork and have the tackiest decorations (not that it matters, but bleh). The lab work is sent off, but no estimate in price is given at the office visit. Months later, a surprisingly high bill arrives....or doesn't. Had debt collectors calling for bills I never received. For tests that weren't actually necessary. Most importantly, I never get to see the physician and get passed off to a nurse practitioner, who recommends the priciest birth control instead of actually discussing options. Her incessant chatter gives the impression that she isn't actually focusing. I had concerning symptoms that I notified the staff, NP and Messer herself about and they waved it off as not important. Ended up in the ER a month later and required surgery because of an issue with an ovary. I would not recommend Oasis OB/GYN to any woman I care about.

I was going to be a new patient. They scheduled me immediately after lunch. I was lost and unable to speak with someone until after my appointment already began, because they were all out to lunch. By the time I got a hold of someone in the office and drove over to their location I was 15 minutes late and they would not see me. I have never signed anything. I went there and they would not see me and they are still charging me $25.00 for a no show appointment. I do not know how that is possible as I have never been seen nor have I signed anything stating its okay to bill me $25.00 if i'm late for an appointment.

I was told when I made the appointment that they took my insurance. I waited 3 WEEKS to get in! I got to the office for my first visit, filled out my paperwork and waited. The front office girl called me up and told me they did not take my insurance! She got on her phone and spoke to the woman who made my appointment and in front of the entire waiting room said the reason for my visit!!! I then spoke to the office manager who blamed me!!! Not sure about the Dr. because I never made it past the HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL office staff!!! I would NOT recommend this office/ Dr. to anyone!!!

Great staff, felt like they really cared. Not a long wait and felt like she gave me her full attention and carred.

The waiting room was packed when I arrived. I cancelled my appointment and left after waiting almost 45 minutes. The staff gave no notice that the person who I was supposed to see was running late.

My wife and I have had previous pregnancy issues. We finally made the decision to see Shelly and have been blown away by her caring heart, knowledge and professionalism. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Messer. As a husband who has gone to the appointments with his wife I can tell you first hand that she is great. She takes the time to inform her patients every step of the way and if she doesn't know an answer or is unsure, she is the first to find out for you. Not many doctors are humble enough to do that!
