Dr. Sherry Xie, MD

My first complaint is that after getting a blood test, the onus was on me to see if the blood test was received by the office and then to schedule my own appointment and not the office contacting me. When I went in for a check-up, my temperature was 98.6 and she said that it was a little high when that is actually considered to be normal. She spent more time going through the questionnaire on her laptop instead of talking to me and trying to understand why I was even there. After the results came out, I am forced to see her in person for an office visit which requires a co-pay if I want a prescription from her when all she needs to do was prescribe the medicine stated on the test results. I don't know why she wants to see me considering she didn't really seem to care when I was in the office. During my preliminary check-up, she wanted to get a blood test screened for RA but the test results mention nothing about RA so this may not even have been done. I would recommend… that you choose another doctor to be your PCP and not this doctor.

Knows what she is doing. She is always right about diagnosis. Great job while hospitalized.

This eval is about Sherry Xie, MD. I have seen her for some time and will no longer go to her. That is because Dr. Xi does not understand how to properly treat diseases, manage pain and prescribe good solutions. When we go to her in pain or call her asking for something strong to manage pain in joints, she just tells you to take the non-effective drug she prescribed. When there is joint pain, it does not occur to her to check for gout, which is a common cause of joint pain in addition to RA. Dr. Xi almost always never goes out of the way to take care of patients or follow up to see how you are doing. Based on what our family has experienced with Sherry Xie, MD, we would not recommend her to you. Thanks.

I have very complicated medical issues.Dr. Xie was totally incapable of listening to my history. On the first visit she stepped outside the exam room and spent 8 minutes on a personal call that I could hear. She seems stubborn, ignorant and incompetent of anything other than checking vitals. I wouldn't recommend her for anyone who needs a sharp diagnostician or who has medical necessities requiring a smart and competent doctor.
