Dr. Shimellis Alemayehu, MD

Dr. Alemayehu is a great doctor with excellent bedside manner for seniors. Unfortunately I can't say that about his staff. His administrative team hardly answers the phone nor return phone calls. How are we to communicate to them to schedule appointments, retrieve medical records or any additional information? Your doctor is as good as it's staff and this doctor needs to strong consider hiring new staff or they will be part of his demise as a descent doctor. You all need to do better!

I have been trying to get in tour with these folks for a while now. I am in desperate need medical records from them and no one will answer the phone! Does anyone know how to get in touch with this office????

Staff wont pick up the phone.

I would certainly recommend Dr. Alemayehu. We're often reminded how important first impressions are and in my first visit to see him for and with a relative previously diagnosed with MCI, he was professional, knowledgeable, a good communicator, patient, kind - things one needs to experience when dealing with such a sad diagnosis. Everyone on his staff was very helpful, too.

Dr. Alemayehu has the best bedside manner. He treats my mom for Alzheimer's and I love the way he interacts with her. He's very patient and he does a great job of keeping her calm. At the same time, he educates us on how to care for her and what changes to expect. You feel calmer as soon as he starts to interact with you. The not so great part though is that he's really slow and not great at returning calls (but he responds to whatever you called about). The tradeoff is that you never feel rushed with him (maybe scheduling should be adjusted) Our bottom line is the way he interacts with my mom. is amazing. So, although we're busy too, we wouldn't consider looking for another doctor. He's great!

He is the best neurologist I've had since being diagnosed with MS.... His bed side manner is top notch. He cares and it's evident by the time he spend with each patient... Sometimes I have to wait a little longer but I know he will give me the same attention and time when its my turn....
