Dr. Shin Chung Chiu, MD

I woke with severe vertigo. As all we seniors know, it's caused by an inner ear problem. My online research confirmed all my symptoms and said that this is the cause 95% of the time for my age group. It's called BPPY. It even gave me home treatment to fix it. But, my wife was pushing hard for me to call the Dr. So we compromised and I called Dr. Chiu. He was able to fit me in that morning. He gave me a very thorough exam and explained everything in layman terms that even I could understand. I was DEAD WRONG! It was my neck muscles. Thank goodness for Dr. Chiu. He prescribed an over the counter treatment that worked wonderfully well and I got a great lesson in the inner actions of the bodily systems that effect my balance.

Very very amazing Dr. that I've ever seen. I had a right ear problem for 4 days with sensation of fullness, pain, constant ringing sounds with decreased ability to hear. He not only assessed my affected ear, but also assessed my nose, neck and jaw joint to see the problem as a whole. He right away catches how I sleep at night (in what side I lay down myself, etc) and my chronic allergy issues by just looking at my nose. He also pointed out my jaw problem that I've never told anybody before. In my case, my jaw created this ear pain and headache, and there was a very big ear wax in my ear. He cleared it very easily and now I am perfectly fine! He also teaches me, how to take care of my ear wax at night, after shower, etc. Provided me a comprehensive solution! Very smart Dr. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family!

What a frightening feeling to have decreasing/diminshing ear loss from, apparent, ear wax build up! I had this feeling for 4 days, which worsened, each day. I needed help right away! I looked online to find an ENT MD who could give me assistance with my problem. To my dismay, most of the MDs were booked 2 weeks out. Finally, after much searc hing, I found Dr. Chiu! What a GR8 find! He is a MD w/ loads of experience, caring, gentle, has a nice sense of humor...Most of all, he enabled me to HEAR!

I have terrible breathing problems as a young athlete and just look at the surface of my problems with a deviated nose surgery. Did a mediocre job with that and required other surgeouns to fix the work
