Dr. Malik is very knowledgeable. I told her about my existing health issues of PCOS and hypothyroid. We first tried the low tech options of IUI with medications. Because I was in my late 30s, I wanted to be more aggressive especially if I wanted to use my own eggs so we went straight into IVF with 2 embryo preservation treatments and several rounds of FETs. I have a 2.5 year old and currently due with twins this July from these treatments. I can't thank her enough for listening to me and us working as a team on my treatment plans as well! She's great and I always recommend her to anyone talking about wanting kids! :)

We have been lucky to know Dr. Malik for about 5 years now. She has been so professional and supportive through our infertility journey. She cares and has listened to us as we have made decisions and navigated this difficult journey. We had a successful IVF cycle and 1 miracle baby who is 2 years old with another baby boy due soon!! Can’t thank Dr. Malik enough for going above and beyond for our growing family and as we believed for our miracle.

Dr Malik is a very methodical, practical doctor. She approaches things with a level head vs. being emotional and lays out multiple paths that you can consider (including the risks and benefits of each). I had a few other fertility specialists that I knew in other states that I got second opinions from, and she always welcomed that other feedback/insight and never felt overly protective of doing things "her way" if I felt strongly about doing something else. When our IVF egg retrieval went poorly (we retrieved eggs but discovered poor egg quality and did not get to the blastocyst stage), she came prepared with a new treatment plan for us to adjust with this new data. Ultimately IVF is a long process and each new test / result is a new data point to customize in the future. I felt like Dr. Malik was in it for the long haul with us. We did get spontaneously pregnant after our failed IVF cycle and Dr. Malik made sure to be the one to do our ultrasound at 7 weeks. She also made sure to be… our doctor on days where I needed certain procedures done since she knew my chart the best. Overall, I felt like she was very invested in our journey and I trusted her. Even though we got spontaneously pregnant, I would have felt comfortable going forward with another IVF cycle with Dr. Malik despite the first one not going well because I felt like she had a customized plan as a next step. Would definitely recommend her to others.

I am 37 years old and have been working with Dr. Malik for over a year during my fertility journey. Dr. Malik was very informative during our appointments and always took the time to answer each and every question I had. She would contact me after every major milestone and always seemed up-to-date on my case. I have already recommended her to other individuals looking for fertility doctors and I will continue to do so.

She focus more or promoting medications or supplements. She prescribed an IVF medication worth of 18K just for one cycle which I ended up with OHSS and failed IVF. I do not recommend her. It's just a waste of time and money!

My husband and I LOVE SGF, especially Dr. Malik! My only regret was not being able to continue care during my pregnancy with them as we were able to get pregnant spontaneously. Please, I urge anyone seeking fertility specialist to reach out to them. You can make an independent appointment and do not need a referral to see them. I promise you will not regret it.

Drl. Malik is extremely sweet and has a great bedside manner. The Fair Oaks office is not the closest Shady Grove location to where we live, but it was worth it to us to drive a little farther for appointments to see a doctor that we liked and were comfortable with. She explained everything throughout the IVF process and we are now twenty weeks pregnant with our first baby. If we need to go through IVF again when we want to have more children, we will definitely be going back to Dr. Malik.

I have never had a better doctor than Dr. Malik. She is very knowledgeable and doesn't rush you. In fact, I am quite a nerd and had lots of research to discuss and she knew how to respond to every issue I raised, and gave me the rationale as to why certain procedures were recommended whenever I wasn't sure. She also respected my decisions in a few areas where I had discretion and co-decision making. I felt like I mattered to her. She has the bedside manner of doctors who used to come to your house- that warm and caring- while her skills are also first rate. I recommend her highly to anyone. In fact, I wish there were more of her so that everyone could get such good care.

My wife & I were Dr. Malik’s patients at the Shady Grove Fair Oaks location. She is a wonderful doctor...smart, kind, & gentle. She made herself available to us when we had questions or concerns & was thorough in her work. Highly recommend!
