Dr. Shveta Raju, MD

It's surprising how the reviews for Dr. Raju are so polarized as if they're about two different doctors. I also had a negative experience with her. When she entered the room, she closed the door, leaned against it, and spoke to me from across the room. I mentioned discomfort in one of my legs and concern about a possible blood clot, but she said she didn't need to examine my leg. She ordered some tests and left the room. I canceled my subsequent visit! It's baffling that some patients receive excellent care while others, like myself, feel neglected. As a woman of color, I can't help but wonder if my race played a role in how I was treated.

I have gone to this Doctor for a number of years and my family have wanted me to leave her during that time. I stayed because I was on Obamacare and had little choice. I am also relatively healthy and just needed her when I had Bronchitis and blood pressure medicine refill. Every time I went to her she wanted me to have some type of blood test. I often refused because I did not think the test was necessary and because her nurse would literally beat my arm to take blood. I had her nurse clean out my ear once and she scratched the inside of my ear. As a result I now go to an ENT to get my ears cleaned out. More importantly, Dr Raju can not fill out prescriptions properly. On three occasions including my last visit, the pharmacy had to contact her office because she failed to complete the prescription correctly. On my last visit she demanded that I apologize to her because I refused to have another blood test done and I was upset that she refused to give me a 6 month… prescription of blood pressure medicine as a result--which has nothing to do with the blood test she wanted me to do. She then told me that she was no longer willing to take care of me because I showed her disrespect by not following her orders. Finally, when she comes into the patient room she stands as far away from you as she can. She never comes close to you. She acts like you have the plague.

She can't even treat for even the most basic medical problems. She gives referral for everything

Worst primary doctor, she doesnt like annula physical. Wont even spent a minute with you and dont even do basic annual physical checks. Dont go there, please look for someone else.

A for Dr. Shveta who has been my primary Dr, for the past two years and I am very satisfied with her as a doctor as she takes the time to fully explain and also allows your input about your condition she seems very professional and caring about her patients

Went to a women's wellness check which is totally covered by my insurance. I told Dr. Raju that I only wanted the wellness check which was covered under my insurance. She assured me that she was only providing a wellness check as covered by my insurance. However, she order extra tests without my consent (Vitamin D check $220, and EKG $400). Additionally, she scared me by ordering an unnecessary ultrasound following my mammogram. Fortunately that was covered by my insurance. Guard your purse as she has no concern for your health--only what she can make off of you.
