Dr. Sidney Plawes, MD

If I could give a zero star, I would. I preparation for a scheduled surgery, I needed my PCP to sign off and provide medical docs to clear me. I gave the Plawes Traube Marush office a month's lead time after calling them to tell them what I needed. Followed up a full week later for signed documents from my doctor, only to be hung up on repeatedly- told 'it's not my fault' Plawes didn't complete the paperwork. It was an ordeal. Once I got the paperwork- there were numerous test results that were never reviewed with me and zero effort was put into completing what was needed to authorize my surgery. The front office staff are rude and incompetent. I had to beg for necessary medical files for a required surgery. I should have changed to a more skilled office- both doctors and staff. Shame on me. Now I'm left in a panic a week before my surgery trying to get medical approval. What a joke this office is.

He's a normal human being, very enjoyable yet highly professional at the same time! Rare blend!

Do not waste your time going to this doctor!! Quite often they will not see you, if you call and are sick. When he does see you, it's in and out 5 minutes. There are other doctors in the practice which they do not allow you to see if he is out of the office. He also would not sign off on someone's surgical clearance because he was too busy that day and they were scheduled the next day.
