Dr. Sidney J Winawer, MD

Dr winawer is an incredible doctor. He knows more than most oncologists and gives guided feedback accordingly. He has saved countless lives and remains the most respected voice in cancer living today.

Dr. Winawer needs to learn about empathy, compassion, and respect for his patients and their families. When he makes mistakes he sweeps them under the table to the detriment of his patient. He has no accountability. He's all about the numbers. You don't fit his statistics you get shipped out.

I had to give Dr. Winawer a one star because there is no lower rating. I regret that my family ever saw Dr. Winawer. When he realized that he had missed tests as well as presenting symptoms consistent with disease progression he got angry, turned on his heel, walked away, and yelled "send them to hospice." We were only a statistic, and when we didn't fit his numbers we were sent away. Not only did he send us to hospice, he chose to send us to one that was three boroughs away. A heart wrenching lesson for my family to learn.
