Dr. Silas Mbasera Chikunguwo, MD

I ended up with a bowel obstruction, after he did a hernia repair, I was hospitalized for 24 days, the hernia surgery was done laporscopicly, I woke up with more holes in my abdomen than a strainer, this was well over 10yrs ago, and I am still suffering. His web page says he specializes in surgery. Smh.

"Dr. Chick" (Silas M Chikunguwo) and his staff were fantastic. I held out until I was well on my way to 52 before getting my first Colonoscopy and all went smooth/well. I was able to joke around with the Staff while getting ready and was perfectly comfortable before I awoke and it was over. Prepping the day before is not fun, as expected, but the procedure and service could not have been better. I wish they were my GP team!

Dr. Chikunguwo was very professional and had the best bedside manner. He showed me he was concerned with not only my medical problem at the time but with how I was doing otherwise, things that can affect a patient's overall recovery. He took the time to talk talk to me and explain what was going on. He wasn't one of the doctors to walk in, stand there as if in a hurry, examine you and walk out with "I'll see you again in.." over his shoulder as he walks out the door.

Very knowledgeable. Professional and excellent bedside manners. One of the best Surgeons.
