Dr. Simona Nicoleta Sirbu, MD

The day of my scheduled physical, the office was behind in seeing patients due to a large number of patients without appointments (this was not a normal day there). At any rate I did have an appointment (got in 30 min late and the doctor told me she was behind and had to leave soon). I said let's not do the physical today, but she wanted to go ahead. The physical was totally rushed. Tests that should of been run with a standard physical were not performed. In addition, the nursing staff needs better training. They can't take blood, or run an EKG machine.. seriously these are basic things you need for a physical. I like Dr. Serbu she is genuinely concerned about her patients and normally very good. But next time I'll have someone else do my physical, as I think it's important to get all the tests run and not be rushed. Hopefully this is a one-off experience and your will be better.

Her bedside manner is the best I have ever encountered.

I have high blood pressure that spun out of control. The health tecs do not know how to take blood pressure. I let Dr. Sirbu know this but she did not correct the problem. My blood pressure was 170/ 110. The tech reported 130/70. The same thing happend on the follow up appointment. Scary.! Then Dr. Sirbu did not return my phone calls to report the effects of the new meds leaving me without any meds. Scary! In addition half the time she spends with you she is entering information on her laptop.

My previous doctor retired and I thought I would never find another doctor as caring. Dr. Sirbu sure proved me wrong. She is everything that I had hoped for.

Dr. Sirbu and her staff are wonderful, caring health professionals who take there time with each patient. That may be why you wait a little longer during your visit, but that's not a bad thing if you know that your time will not be rushed with the doctor.

I can't say enough about Dr. Sirbu...she is very thorough, extremely caring and takes at least 30 min. with each patient. I wish all doctors were made in her mold..she is a gift..get her, you won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Sirbu has I suppose taken over the office of Dr. Fotiu (he is still there 1 -2 days per wk.)- who is also an awesome doctor w/diagnosing and caring..but his bedside manner could sometimes be lacking..never the less, we trusted him always. His choice of a replacement/understudy is totally awesome at the Shady Grove/Key West office. Dr. Sirbu is the most caring/non condescending doctor I have ever had. She's respectful, shares her knowledge, expresses her thoughts and concerns about possible diagnosis and treatment, and she didnt rush me out at all. We still dont know what is wrong with me, but I know I am on her mind. She phoned me on Saturday evening with my blood test results personally, and I know I can trust her to help me get better whatever is the matter with me. She has a very cute accent, and is a very nice person..as well as very impressively smart and educated. Oh, and when she does a blood test(takes blood) it doesnt hurt..shes a professional. I'm so happy she is on my… case.

I have to say that I have met many good doctors but none that I thought were really interested in taking time out to treat me. Dr Sirbu will take time, ask good questions and she's always accessible if you call to ask a question. I wish all doctors were like her. I can't say i've ever called to speak to a doctor and actually got them on the phone.
