Dr. Solomon N Forouzesh, MD

I am a complex patient of Dr Solomon Forouzesh over many years with multiple autoimmune diagnosis and many other chronic illnesses as a result of my autoimmune conditions. I am also a healthcare professional (pharmacist) in management having held executive pharmacy role. Thus, I am commenting from the perspective of an exceedingly high expectations professional and a patient that is challenging to please. Having sought treatments from many specialists through the years, I have experienced excellent as well as inferior quality care and am proud to say that Dr Forouzesh is second to none and is crème de la crème within his field. He provides high quality care with compassion, kindness, empathy and is personable. He goes above and beyond his specialty and treats multiple other conditions of mine since he is so experienced and knowledgeable while understanding complex patients are overwhelmed and sometimes gives up. He is understanding and saves his patients time and money since he… knows our health-care system in the US is complex to navigate and not affordable by many patients. He places his patient's well-being above profit which is rare in this day in age. He also does pro bono work to give back to mankind. Dr Forouzesh finds my other medical problems in unique ways with various strategies that is beyond his specialty while making his patient feel unique. He gives you his full undivided attention during office visits and challenges me to look up certain medical conditions, labs, etc. that I could potentially have and medications to treat them. This makes him adaptable and flexible to his patient's style, needs and level of understanding. He's treating mental health in this case as he knows what drives this particular patient. Dr Forouzesh is encouraging and gives me hope when I wanted to give up due to sufferings from many illnesses because of his approach. He truy cares about each patient of his, going above and beyond expectations confidently and has excellent bedside manners. He takes the time to explain and respond to my questions to which I have a lot being an intellectual at a Doctorate level also. He connects with his patients in a warm and friendly manner and respects them no matter what their background is which makes him highly respectable as a true physician that practices The Hippocratic Oath. I recognize and appreciate the quality of well-rounded care that Dr Forouzesh consistently provides to me. Many specialists stick to their specialty only and referral is their first approach when met with something even just somewhat outside of their realm. Dr Forouzesh is completely different. He treats his patient as a whole and connects the dots of various symptoms and illnesses confidently as a specialist as well as a PCP. I wish him and his family well so that he can that he continue to work for many more years ahead for the benefits of many patients who often are underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed (common in the autoimmune realm) and and humanity can benefit from his knowledge, experience, dedication, hardwork and most of all compassion and empathy for others. I highly recommend Dr Solomon Forouzesh as a Rheumatologist, PCP and specialist at other conditions of mine that he treats, 5/5 stars.

Dr Forouzesh is the best! I live in Missouri and fly to Los Angeles to see him for my psoriatic arthritis because he takes time to listen to my concerns and gives me the best treatment options. My first visit with him was in 2017 and he spent 3 hours with me. I feel so much better since I started seeing him. He randomly calls me in Missouri to check on me. How many doctors do that? I highly recommend him!

The most unprofessional Dr, office, and staff. I went to this office And they were in numerous blood panels which cost decent money. I then had this doctor call me back even though he wasn’t my doctor. He gave me a results that did not make sense and when I asked for exclamation I got very hazy responses. The other doctor, my real doctor, called me later and said he had no idea why the other doctor called me. He said he disagreed with his assessment and that he wanted to re-run the blood panels. I kept calling for appointments and got no call back, I got very vague responses from the office about why I had no call back and a simple I will let the doctor now answer. Weeks/months later I still have not received any bills, I have not Been givenAccess to my records as I requested, and I just found out that my doctor apparently is no longer there. They have no idea where my records are or what to tell me. What an unprofessional, unreliable, mess

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Dr. Forouresh.I am writting this, because I want you to know what happened to me and have a chance to decide for yourself if you really want to visit this doctor. I was treated with immense disrespect by him, during my 5 minutes (max) appointment. In addition, he misread the results of my blood tests. I understand that there are gray areas when it comes to diagnosis, but this isn't one. He simply made an error that (in the words of the UCLA emergency room doctor) even a first year medical student would be embarrassed to make. Both doctors, the one in the emergency room and Dr. Ash, immediately recognized that there was no problem and were quite surprised that a seasoned doctor made such an elementary error. Dr. Forouresh quickly read my exams and stated that I had three different virus and diseases. I asked him if he could repeat the name of the first thing he mentioned and he said he didn't remember. Keep in mind he said a couple… of seconds before and why would he bother looking at the exams again, right? Quickly he got up and said that I had to go find specialists asap, but in the meantime to wait for him at the reception. I asked how much of an emergency it was and he answered "sick enough that I didn't want to be in your shoes". After patiently waiting for him for about 25 mins (while observed him laughing and chatting with 2 young pharma reps in the corridor.) I noticed that the chat wasn't coming to an end. Worried about my "serious illness" (which I had no clue what it was, since he didn't read nor explain what it was) I politely asked if I could ask him a question. He then looked at me over his shoulders and asked why I was still there. I noticed he forgot that he told me to wait for him at the reception. I decided not to say anything and went straight to my question. I asked him that since I couldn't make an appointment that day with a specialist, if I should go to an emergency room. He answered that I should be there already! I then picked my car and drove fast to the emergency room to UCLA, where I was seen by two doctors who assured me that I had no chance of having any of the things he said I had and that I was misdiagnosed. I went back to Dr. Forouresh's office to talk to Dr. Ash, who was the doctor who ordered the exams. He saw my exams and explained that it came out fine. After I told him what happened to me that day, he started laughing and thought it was hilarious. Weeks later, I received a letter from UCLA, saying that my insurance wasn't going to cover 100% of the bill. They were charging me $256. I thought that since he sent me to the emergency room without any need that I could bring it up the fact and that he wouldn't have a problem of reimbursing me. That was not what happened. He did not take responsibility for his mistake, he did not apologize and did not pay for the bill. There was no negotiation and he asked me not to contact him again. I would definitely not trust my health with this doctor ever again! COERCED BY THIS DOCTOR! He called my phone and left a voice mail demanding me to delete my yelp review! Asking what could he do for me to delete my review! What kind of person would not respect free speech? Telling other people about this incompetent doctor is my only relief after spending hundreds of dollars paying for a completely unnecessary visit to the hospital due to an error committed by "dr" Solomon. As the doctors at UCLA said, an error that not even "a first year medical student would do". This facility should be closed down and prosecuted for negligence!

This guy is out of his mind. I'll never go there again.

Extremely nice, but very scattered, and nothing in his office was working. Had to send me elsewhere to get x-rays and MRI done, and he questioned the labs that I had brought with me. A bit absent-minded, and never followed up when something was found.

My disease is uncommon, and I suffered for years. He is amazing. There are no long questionnaires to fill out; he sits and talks to you. It took him about five minutes to diagnose me. I adore this man; he is the best
