Calling her a doctor is an insult to doctors. I've met some fantastic physicians that have graduated from Caribbean Med Schools so I really don't usually care where my provider received their education as long as the credentials are valid. But this woman truly gives the Caribbean med school stereotype meaning. It's insane to tell a woman who has been in 12/10 pain, crying in agony and doubled over for 14 hours in the ER, even while being pumped with m* rph1ne and v* 1ium that because the CT and ultrasound shows nothing she just has to be discharged and manage her pain. Are you kidding me? It was the lack of compassion or even a slight acknowledgement that this is not okay that was the worst. As a "physician" you are taught to dig deeper and look for answers. It is absolutely not normal to tell a patient "I'm not smart enough to figure out your issue so here's more and more drugs to bring your pain down to 8/10. Just head home and deal with it there". Now I can see why she went to the… school marketed as the "easiest caribbean med school" to get into.
