Dr Sophie A. Fletcher, MD

Dr. Fletcher cannot be trusted. She failed me as a patient and I have been suffering for over a year after allowing her to perform surgery. Dr. Fletcher claims she cares, but truthfully Dr. Fletcher cares more about herself!

She is very knowledgeable and up-to date in her field. She really cares and follows through with her patients. Her staff is also caring and very thorough.

I hope it’s related to Sutters pathetic mandates . I have never felt so humiliated in my life I am a healthcare professional myself and was a palled that I was never introduced to Dr. Fletcher on my first appointment I was taken to an exam room by a technician removed my clothes laid on the table with my legs in the stirrups as if it was a Gyn appointment and lay there with my genitals exposed until Dr. Fletcher walked in my introduction to her was lying on my back with my perineum exposed and she walked in and simply started her endoscopy exam it was inexcusable. I have never seen a doctor introduced him self in such a manner with no respect for the patients feelings privacy etc. I just couldn’t believe it I should’ve gotten off the table and walked out I know Sutter care is little about their patients but their G.I. and this department are deplorable afterwords I met with Dr. Hornburger and Dr. Fletcher in the hallway to discuss a treatment plan regarding endometriosis and both… had the audacity to say that they had never in their education or career been introduced to endometriosis so my question to both of them was Dr. Fletcher you specialize in bladders and Hornburger in in intestines but do you only treat and take responsibility for the mucosal side meaning the interior side of the Oregon who takes care of the outside called the serosal surface and both of them stated not them their job was to evaluate the inside of your bladder or the inside of your intestine but anything on the other side is someone else’s job and they couldn’t say who’s in my case my bladder and intestines were confirmed to be stuck together from previous surgeries and that horrible disease endometriosis but they literally claimed they had no education on it which of course cannot be true

After emailing and receiving no response, I sent another email thinking maybe the first didn't go through. Finally, after more than five days, I did get a call from a nurse. Then after a procedure where a biopsy was taken, it is more than a week later and still no call regarding the results of the tests. While Dr. Fletcher may have good doctoring skills, her personal skills and followup are sorely lacking.

I went to see Dr Fletcher when she was in practice at Houston Methodist. She is an outstandingly knowledgeable, compassionate physician. So sorry she left Texas!!! If you need a urologist, you cannot go wrong with Dr Fletcher!!
