Dr. Sowmya Murthy Oza, MD

Was very disappointed at this appointment. It seemed like Dr. Oza was not concerned about my current medical issues and the pain I was going through. Explained which over the counter medications were not working and how much I was taken, and she still wanted me to continue with them. Was told that blood work would be requested. However, she changed her mind and said she would call if something needs to be requested. Front office staff seemed to not communicate with each other, since one tells me something and then the other one tells me something else. First impression ALWAYS makes the difference and this is one where you would want to question the credentials. I will NOT be returning.

Entire experience was poor. Made an appointment to talk about numbness in my foot and also mentioned it was time for annual blood work. First was told the Dr. would be unavailable due to maternity leave so I made an appt with the NP. I later had to change my appt date and called back, and for some reason they were now able to schedule me with the Dr, even though it was a later date. At the appt, Dr. Oza took only a cursory look at my foot and asked me a lot of questions while typing. No blood pressure check at my ankles. Didn't want to discuss further treatment until after the results of my blood work. OK, but wanted to wait 4 weeks to talk about it again. Maybe because she would be on leave by then. I got my blood drawn the very next morning, and some days later received a voice mail from the Dr's. assistant Julia . In that voicemail I was told that as a result of the test the Dr. was increasing the dosage of a statin drug that I was NOT even taking. I called back immediately… and had to leave another message that was never returned. They had submitted the prescription and it has since been filled, now to be wasted. Called back today and had to leave another message, I assume it went to Julia as the person on the recording never said who she was. I'm done with this place.
